Re: is there a way to use my laptop as a bluetooth speaker for my phone?

I got Across downloaded and installed. I thought I had my phone paired, but it's not showing up in the paired devices section. The process of dragging a paired device over to the client list seems a little strange. Does anyone have any advice on this?

I installed Across, but it simply won't open. I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 installed, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

Oh yeah, unfortunately I don't think you can use both at the same time. As for Across not working, I am not entirely sure. I have tried it last year and was able to set  it up, but since then I have purchased a bluetooth keyboard so haven't had a need for it. Maybe I will take a look at it once more to see if anything changed in the meantime.

Bluetooth audio receiver doesn't have that problem on my end, maybe try updating it? I'm also using Jaws so that might be why.I've not been able to figure out how to use Across. for one thing, unpairing my phone to repair it with across breaks bluetooth speaker, then once I have my phone paired I can't figure out how to switch to bluetooth keyboard mode.Ideally I'd want to be able to use both at the same time, although if I can only use one or the other, audio receiver wins.

Re: is there a way to use my laptop as a bluetooth speaker for my phone?

Bluetooth audio receiver does have a minor problem if you use multiple devices, since they are not labeled in the list, but using NVDA's object navigation it's possible to see which one you are focused on.

These seem like really convenient tools. I assume accessibility isn't an issue with either?

Re: is there a way to use my laptop as a bluetooth speaker for my phone?

There is actually a pretty cool keyboard app, though you do have to buy it in order to be able to use it. It's unique though because it works like a real bluetooth keyboard, in the sense that all Voiceover commands and shortcuts can be used as well. There are other free apps, but they do only allow typing.http://www.acrosscenter.com/I agree, Bluetooth audio receiver is great.

is there a way to use my laptop as a bluetooth speaker for my phone?

I'd like to be able to connect my laptop to my phone via bluetooth, then rout sound to my laptop so that I can use my phone and laptop at the same time using the same pair of wired headphones plugged into my laptop. Is this possible?Relatedly, is there a way to connect a windows pc to an iphone as a bluetooth keyboard? If there aren't apps for this, could they theoretically be made?
