most accessible podcasting client?
most accessible podcasting client? Anyone have a good recommendation? Itunes was good until the latest version which jumps around and loses focus just about all the time. Anyone got any other podcasting clients that are good and accessible, as well as free? My church podcast on the itunes store has over 590 episodes... and trying to navigate it through the feed in itunes is a pain especially when Jaws and even nvda keeps losing focus and jumping to different places. lolURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177106#p177106 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: most accessible podcasting client?
Re: most accessible podcasting client? I like Downcast, but its only on IOS and OSX. I think Foobar2000 has a podcast component, but it isnt free. XBMC can do podcasts, and is perfectly accessible, but I havent played with it to see how well it handles downloading, and I dont think it can sync your podcasts with an mp3 player or anything. If you just want to listen to podcasts on your computer, XBMC would be your best bet. Otherwise, fiddle with foobar2000, use IOS or OSX, or buy QCast.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177130#p177130 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: most accessible podcasting client? Just want to be able to listen as well as download the mp3s themselves. Guess xbmc is my go to then... since I dont plan on switching to OSX any time soon.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177132#p177132 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: most accessible podcasting client?
Re: most accessible podcasting client? Hi.I like QCast but I think there are a couple things wrong with it.And the devolpers dont seem to want to update it.For example, you dont know when all podcasts are downloaded.Theres no way to tell, so you can close the app and it wont give you a diolog box or anything.Secondly, theres no way to tell wich podcasts have new eps. You just have to download again, yeah I know it remembers what youve downloaded but stil.Thirdly, theres sometimes errors, that say such and such podcasts is unable to download. I know thats not there fault ,but having to press enter or space on every ok button can get kind of annoying.Would it be posssible to make it so that that kind of thing happens in the background?Forthly, with all these tiny issues, I dont really think its worth the 30 dollars I think it is that you pay for it.Maybe 10 or even just 5. Or maybe make it free. I wouldnt pay for this product in its current state to be honest.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177152#p177152 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
Re: most accessible podcasting client?
Re: most accessible podcasting client? @Brad: QCast just recently had an update as far as I remember, and the Price is actually already at $10, so well...Its a quite neat and straight forward program to use and I do not at all regret buying either that or QRead for that matter. I can highly recomment them... As for free and accessible podcatchers I dont really know... I used Juice for many years, but I didnt really like that you couldnt seem to download single episodes but had to download the entire feed... Hence why I bought QCast last year, I was tired of looking for other solutions. Re: most accessible podcasting client?
Re: most accessible podcasting client? Ill be honest here. Ive been using the blindy podcature thats bundled with webIE ever since I can remember. I just tell the webIE installer to install only that, since I have no use for the rest of the programs.I know I know, its part of webIE, so why would you give it a chance? All you have to do is add the urls to the podcasts you like, and it keeps the podcast in a list. Pressing enter on a podcast, refreshes the episode list, and pressing enter on an episode begins playback. Want to download an entire podcast? That can be done tooURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=177168#p177168 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector
