Re: potentially accessible open source magic the gathering client

I tried to duel, i managed to put down a few land cards. I don't know about the issues you're saying, but so far the dev has confirmed that the keyboard navigation is broken and we can't tab onto cards.I think we should see that fix before finding out if the cards are properly labeled or not.I wish you or someone  opened an issue earlier. i feel like if we don't get a contributor from our side it might take months before fixes are made and get pushed to the main branch.

Re: potentially accessible open source magic the gathering client

Did you try to duel already? Last time I used this client the cards were images only, not having any text displayed as text all the time, and even sighted players got some trouble reading some of the image texts at times.Best Regards.Hijacker

potentially accessible open source magic the gathering client

Hello guys.I just found a free magic the gathering client that is potentially accessible to play with. I would say that is  about 80%  on the way to become fully  accessible. It even might be completely playable if you use golden cursor to save your hand slots and the graveyard and the battlefield, but that might be super hard to set up. please read my issue on github to see the state of accessibility of this client and please, If you can or know a developer that can contribute let them know  so they could fix the current issues so that we also can play this great game.Issue link:https://github.com/magefree/mage/issues/5920Client name is XMage. It's been developed on java. The client will download a portable version of java for you. navigate with the commandline into the bin folder of that java and then type jabswitch -enable to enable  java accessibility. We are very very close to a fully accessible magic the gathering game, Please if you know a developer that can help us to fix the current issues which i think shouldn't be very hard to fix, try to reach out to them so that they can contribute.Edit: just adding the fact that playing on this platform is free and you can launch your own private servers and it has also AI computers and you also can access all the cards for free.edit2, quick tips.If after launching your client you met with an inaccessible window with nvda that also says window not recognized when OCR is used, focus on the client, press insert + 8 one or two times, OCR and you'll see the window. click on new, deck editor, or anywhere on the screen to set your focus properly. if you're stuck in a table, press control+tab to go to the next section. When creating a new game, set the battle to dual mode. for both you and your AI opponent, there is a generate an unlabeled button. click on the unlabeled button and browser to your xmage/xmage client/sample decks and choose a deck for both of you.
