Re: problem installing Rail Racer demo I just got it working. All I needed to do was close Webroot, install the game, and reopen Webroot and tell it to monitor the file. Too bad it's limited to only one track, but at least you can race 5 or 10 laps and have difficulty levels. It's also good for playing around with speed and practicing mouse use. problem installing Rail Racer demo
problem installing Rail Racer demo When downloading the setup file for this game from the audiogames archive, it puts evrything accept the exe file in the program files x86 folder. When running it from the desktop, it says Windows is searching for GameEngine.exe. It never finds it then says their is a problem with the shortcut. I've already redownloaded the setup multiple times, ran it as administrator and a lot of the compatibility options, but it still doesn't download the exe. Oh, and I've ran it through Webroot already, and it doesn't say it's a virus. And Webroot doesn't say the exe is a threat, so maybe the setup just didn't come packaged with the file. If this is the case, the people on the audiogames archive should probably remove it. I contacted the developer to validate my key, but he never replyed to my email. sad to know, but the game is no longer suported, and no longer available good game, but probably gon for ever. I bought the beta in good thaif that eventually it would no longer be a beta. What I found was that there were a lot of issues, especially with multiplayer, and that there havent been any updates for a few months. Now people occaswionally post to the list asking whats going on with it. I dont have the game installed right now and I would need to find my key, but something tells me the multiplayer server isnt even up anymore.
