Re: raspberry pi questions

I waned to setup a retro gaming rig from my pi, but unfortunately stormux for pi3 has a broken firstboot script, whitch makes it inpossible to set stuff up, and extend your sdcart memory to its full size

Re: raspberry pi questions

Well, I also have some questions about the pi.If I am going to install android on it, would there be a difference compared to the phone version of the OS, would I still have the telephone app and such? that would be really a blowtware.about using talkback, would I be able to use touchscreen gestures, or how else am I going to navigate with it?

Re: raspberry pi questions

I just use Stormux, use it as a desktop to learn Linux without having to worry about breaking my main computers, and I use it through SSH sometimes for quick things, but also use it with a keyboard, BRLTTY, and I use it for reading EPUB books in the command line.

Re: raspberry pi questions

I don't currently have access to my pi since I am at the country side for the quarantine, but I have the micro sd for it in my backpack.I have a version of Lineage, android 9 on my card which I didn't have time to try, but what version should I use in which I can turn on tb by myself? Also, for use of a pi as a desctop, just use Stormux, I would use that myself, but I need to access NVDA remote from mine with narwhal for school so I won't have to bring my pc with me all the time.

Re: raspberry pi questions

I just use raspian, the built-in text editor to write python, the terminal, and orcaTo get orca, go to a terminal and type$ sudo apt-get install gnome-orcaThen reboot the device. After you do so, press alt f2 and typeorcaAfter that you should get speech.

Re: raspberry pi questions

hi well it depends on what project you want to make. for some things you can just use SSH. however if you want to use it as a desktop or play around with linux. you can use Debian. you can take your micro sd card and put Debian  on it. then when you set it up, you can turn on the screen reader from the boot menu. it also supports braille, then you can install other screen readers. if you are thinking of doing projects with android, you can also install android on the pi.

Re: raspberry pi questions

You can SSH into Raspbian. Alternatively, you may be able to get Orca working. Make sure Raspbian is fully up to date and then type sudo apt install orca. I think this will install the screen reader and it should work, but I don't know as I don't have access to my Pi right now.

Re: raspberry pi questions

You can just ssh into their default OS. I've never had issues with using it headless.

raspberry pi questions

Hi everybody, Ive got a raspberry pi, and I've got a few questions.1. What is the best raspberry pi distro for a blind person to use? raspyian is all right, I suppose, but it has a lot of stuff that isn't accessible. 2. What prjects have you made with your raspberry pi?3. Is it worth setting up audio so I can get access to the gui? or just use ssh?
