Re: searching for a Werewolf or Maffia online type game Ah, I got it, so you mean with the game community there, just like how we organize "wolfgames" with the WEBL community.(another online game)It's just that I generally don't like playing level based games or MUDs, so I never even tried Ardwolf yet.Sure, I could, and maybe will join Ardwolf to play werewolf with its regular players, but when it comes to online games and MUDS, I still prefer playing werewolf type games with those, who I share my favorite games with.For example, WEBL community just starts another "wolfgame", so right now I will play on 2 websites at the same time even, for I am already playing a game on mafiauniverse.This means my wish came through, I can play werewolf type games almost all the time now, almost whenever I wish, especially on the mafiauniverse website, which its very helpful and cooperative staff already made significantly more screen reader friendly, (it's a very pleasent experience how hard they try to make their game more accessible to screen reader users, they keep adding settings, filters, keyboard shortcut commands, all I need to do is ask for them), and since they are regularily running more games monthly, I guess I will stick with them for now, they sure deserve it, for making their games already much easier for me to play. Re: searching for a Werewolf or Maffia online type game Well many thanks Dark, I will check and try out your suggestions for sure, but for now I am concentrating on werewolf/mafia type games played in browser, with as large as possible community, and that mafiauniverse has indeed a quite large one, I am playing a game with 20 others right now, and will have 2 more in this month, so I am currently pretty much occupied with those.I also keep trying to send feedbacks, give suggestion to the staff how to make the game more accessible, easier for us screen readers to use and follow.Btw I downloaded and joined RS games, checked werewolf, but there was not a single soul online.I know, such type of social games, actually events should be announced, prearranged, organized, so I was not too much disappointed, but I still keep wondering, how many people are actually using that client all together, are there enough of us to actually play an interesting enough wolfgame, even if we would manage to run it on that client? If however your interested more in socialisation and roleplay, and want something with a good community, why not have a look at some rp orientated muds or mushes? I don't know a lot about this area, but one that some people have mentioned is haven mud:http://www.havenmud.com/. There are probably others kicking around, I remeber hearing of a world of darkness based mud at one point for example, but that might be a better road if your looking for real time rp, than trying to find it via forums or web games, most of which yu've likedly already checked out. hth. Re: searching for a Werewolf or Maffia online type game The Mafiauniverse website features games very often, I already applied for 3 of them this month.However, the website itself is currently not exactly screen reader friendly, it has literarily dozens of options, info, so walls of text I must navigate through till I reach the actual forum I am in, which is quite inconvenient especially while I am playing a game in it.Luckily, the staff is very helpful and understanding, they are helping, assisting me to make the website more accessible to me and screen reader users, especially while playing the games themselves.So they are maximally cooperative when it comes to make the games they run more accessible for us.They already made some changes, modifications, added some settings for us to use their site, especially their forums easier and faster with screen reader, and they keep asking for more feedbacks, issue reports, suggestions, ideas from me for solutions atm, so there is a good chance I can play Mafia-type games there without more significant problems, issues in the future.I myself am not that experienced in technical matters and feedback, so it would probably help if someone more experienced, more competent would also sign up, join the mafiauniverse website, and provide the staff with more accurate, more professsional feedback, along with more efficient solution suggestions. I remember I had some issue with that game when I tried it with friends, but can't remember what it was. Something about people who are eliminated being able to vote or something like that. You can play with other humans, or if there aren't enough around, you can play with bots. The bots on RSGames Werewolf use a strategy whereby they actually help the situation wherever they can. For example, if all the werewolves were bots, they would quickly come to an agreement on whom to kill. If the seer is a bot, each day it will use the knowledge gained during the night to choose whom to vote for. searching for a Werewolf or Maffia online type game I played Werewolf/Maffia type social games both in real life and online, and just looved them!We called it "Killer" irl and "Wolfgame" online, but I would like to play such a game constantly, without having to wait for the next occasion when the community gathers, or is willing to play it again.So now I am searching for a place and community, where I can play such a social game continuously, without shorter/longer pauses between them.In real life it was an all about talking, argumenting, accusing, defending, so a totally verbal game, while online it was a totally textual one, which I could play with a certain online game community in a simple forum each time, so I do hope I will have no problem finding a screen reader friendly one somewhere on the internet.I even hope there are fans of such type of social games among you people here too.You know, the game ran by a story teller, with good guys, like villagers or citizens, bad guys, like killers, wolves, aliens, whatever, then special roles like seer or detective, and doctor or healer, each day we do the talking, each night the one with the most votes will be executed along the one killed by the evil team, etc.So can you people please help me to find such a game, actually a place online, where I can play these Werewolf/Maffia type games continuously, with a large enough online community to be really enjoyable enough?So far I found Werewolf Online, but it seems to have some accessibility issues for screen readers, so I keep on searching...Oh, and of course I wish to play the game with and against real people, no fun to play such social games with or vs dumb bots, so I am only interested in online versions of it. Re: searching for a Werewolf or Maffia online type game Hello. Only two places I know with such a game, RS Games, and a Russian platform called OnToys. The problem is however that both of these won't fit your requirements, simply because in both cases the game doesn't have a large enough player base and it definitely isn't played constantly. Your best bet is to find a group of friends, get together on Skype and play the game. That's what I did with a few friends over on OnToys, and it's certainly very enjoyable, but outside of that circle of friends I never saw large gatherings where people play the game. On RSG the situation might be slightly different as I am not there quite often, but I doubt it makes a lot of difference. Best would be if we had an accessible mainstream version, but that probably won't be happening anytime soon. I would like it to be more popular, but the bigger it is the less likely you'll be able to reach the developer. So in short, if you have a group of friends interested in playing with you, you should be able to make use of the two clients I mentioned and enjoy the game quite well.
