Re: simbian games questions @Crasmaster: Windows Mobile 6 professional is running in an v d e very smoothly. You do need Windows XP for Activesync though. Technically you could get WMDC on Windows 10, but I'm not so sure about the Microsoft Virtual PC network drivers needed. the Simbian emulator is what we're missing.Windows Mobile has everything except Smart/Pocket-Hal which we're missing installers for. Re: simbian games questions Well it would be nice to be able to play the games of yesteryear.Same goes with windows mobile, though, I doubt we could run a vm of it on normal pc.I'd like to get involved with this.I do have and still use a c5 as my default phone, but I'd like to play some of this stuff on a modern system.The big reason why I may have to eventually move away from symbian is simply because the old nokia installer software needs above all things windows xp, 7 or whatever and a 32 bit cpu to run it all.Yes I can get those things and vm it, however I have noticed especially with some linux distros like knopix and windows, windows 10, etc, that while yes it runs, you notice you are on a vm.The system stutters with narator speech and such.I do not have a dedicated system for this.Technically I guess I could get my old toshiba configured for 32 bit windows7 and use that, but I was really thinking about firstly upgrading it to win10, followed by a complete harddrive and bios wipe so I can put mint into it.But again that may never happen either.I had the displeasure of reserecting an old 3rd gen intel i5 for 10 and its an utter joke really.The system can run win7 32 aand better on 64 but its pushing it.Its rated for win8 but well who knows.The older system I had before that if I still have it is rated for vista and I think I still have xp disks for it, if they still work that is. Re: simbian games questions I have the Code Factory games, but no simbian emulator to run them. The internet archive has some Simbian emulator material of some kind, but I am not sure how official it is. I f I can get Talks or Mobile Speak installed on it, then up it goes. For now I have the Windows Mobile 6 Pro emulator but CF did not release the games they did for Simbian. Re: simbian games questions In regards to audio games, Code factory had games in the time of Mobile speak. They were tone master, a classic simon game, Spider, a game in which you collect fruits on a grid, and minesweeper, something I never got to play much personally. Pontes also has a free game called Memory train, which I also never tried. Code factory's games I think can't be downloaded from their site anymore as they switched to other products, but someone might have them.
