Re: Using Pi-VPN to play multiplayer games that require port forwarding Hi, In order for this to work, you could go about this in a few different ways:1: Simplest: set up openvpn on your server, host your games on your machine connected as a client to that server, and give everyone who wants to connect a public/private keypair and openvpn configuration, have them install openvpn and load that configuration, and tell them to connect to your vpn IP, usually in the 10.8.0.0/24 range by default. 2: A little more messy: Set up openvpn, connect to the vpn as a client, forward all traffic on the server from the tun interface to your server's outbound NIC, and hope that the game you're hosting picks your client machine's openvpn tun interface to listen on, rather than your physical wlan adapter or ethernet or whatever your real machine's connected to on l1, program dependent. For other clients, you would give them your vps' external IP. As for security, if you chose option 1, all of your client's internet activity would be routed through your openvpn, which may put you in a wierd position if someone's doing something they shouldn't be while connected. I haven't had any luck with the iOS or windows versions though. I think you'd get a better answer just by searching the forum about it.short version, any vpn that offers openvpn configs can be accessible through the openvpn software for your platform; however, If you need to use the software developed by the VPN provider for some reason, you'll get different results. I've been using HMA VPN on windows recently. Their windows app has become much better in terms of accessibility in their last update, but it lacks features such as split tunnel.a big no to the nord vpn app! last time I used that vpn, I couldn't even switch servers! It might've changed by now though. ipvanish wasn't too bad. Decent speed, and screen reader friendly. The downside, most of their IPS were blocked by google, thus I had to solve a captcha every 30 seconds. I couldn't watch netflix with it, and for some weird reason I couldn't connect to teamtalk servers.express vpn was not very accessible, but I managed to work with it just fine. My experience with it goes back to 9 months ago or so. It was a little hard to do things I wanted at first, But I figured it out eventually. It's fast, and one of the few providers which offer split tunneling. I'm using hide.me right now, it just works, you can use it without a client within Windows 10, since i'm pretty sure their own client doesn't really work with screen readers, but the iOS app works fine.
