[Aus-soaring] Darling Downs weather for the weekend of 10 - 11 December 2011
Hi folks The updated forecast is available at http://the-white-knight-speaks.blogspot.com together with a look ahead at next week's weather for the Junior's at Kingaroy and Caboolture week at DDSC. The weekend does not look terribly good, with rain forecast through to Monday. Unfortunately, it looks like the predicted late arrival of La Nina is starting to happen: the SOI is moving upwards (approaching 15) and the sea surface temperature in the western Pacific is warming. Whilst we clearly are not experiencing a repeat of last year (the SOI a year ago was about double it's current value), a wetter than average summer certainly looks to be on the cards here in Queensland.
