Does anyone out there know where i can buy those crystals which when urinated upon turn everything into an easily manageable gel??? Dear Michael, i have no intention of urinating on you! How ever I recall in the past when flying my own gliders which all have a Pis-o-phones in them, taking great delight when a competitor was underneath. In the gardening section of Bunnings you can buy jars of water-absorbing crystals that turn into gel to hold water in plants pots. They may be the same thing, but I haven't used them for your purpose! Hey Ron, 30+ years ago you told me the first thing you put into a new glider is a Borgelt Vario and the second thing is a pee tube. I listen to you on the second one. There have been various variations but I found a good one was a piece of electricians conduit mounted permanently between seat and outer skin and then just quickly pop the tube in and it sticks well clear of glider when in use. You can even have a mylar flap over where the tube comes out of fuse (stops the whistle) I will always remember you giving me that excellent advice. I have been told that the water saving crystals for use in the garden are the same thing. Wetta Soil is one. I recon that committed glider pilots do not know about gardening.
