I began reading bits and pieces on it through websites and watching youtube videos. It seems very interesting and I can't wait to start working with it. The immediate question I have is how configurable is the taskbar (the bar at the top containing the awesome button, the tags, etc)? For example, would I be able to add/remove tags, the awesome button, or the bar entirely? Hello Dave, Basically, you can do whatever you want with that bar. Take a look at default rc.lua that comes with awesome source code and you'll have an idea. Regards -- Renato Botelho -- To unsubscribe, send mail to awesome-unsubscr...@naquadah.org.

Seems like awesome really is awesome! :) With that question answered, I have one more that I'd like to ask... Can effects be added to the taskbar such as fading in and fading out? For example, could I make the bar hidden until a sequence of keys were pressed to show it while triggering a fade in effect? Dave -- To unsubscribe, send mail to awesome-unsubscr...@naquadah.org.

Yes you can, the colors support an alpha channel, and the background is a color. :) -- Julien Danjou pgp9kYuUIQHii.pgp Description: PGP signature
