Re: [Ayatana] Unity with KDE
Plasma is the desktop shell for KDE, so in order to use the KDE apps without it, you have to logout of KDE, log in in Unity and select the default apps in your unity session to be the KDE ones - Dolphin, kate etc... However i would not recommend that, because of two reasons: 1) KDE and Gnome apps will have visual inconsistency (that's fixable) 2) KDE apps don't "respect' stuff like appindicators etc... which is essential in Unity ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ayatana Post to : ayatana@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ayatana More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ayatana] Unity with KDE
Hello! I'm using Kubuntu now. It works well for me, excepting a Plasma. It is constantly crashing. On my netbook it wastes some screen space because of bottom panel. So, it is possible to use Unity (2D or 3D) with KDE environment? Sorry for my bad English. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ayatana Post to : ayatana@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ayatana More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
