[AZORES-Genealogy] 1920 Census download question
A researcher from another site has asked this question and I pose this to the experts on this list. Does anyone know how to do a download of U.S. Census data? I need to download, or get an extract, of 1920 census data for a specific county in Michigan. Best I can figure, you have to go to Ancestry.com 1920 census, click on exact and put in the name of the county in Michigan and then you get the index for all 125,000+ (50 per page) but you have to click on a name to get an actual census page and then go to page 1 for that Ward and then print/download each page (time consuming). I know you can also select a specific township within the County and do it that way. Anyone know an easier way to do this? Thanks. Shirley, Did you mean the 1940? That comes out in 2012. The 1930 has been around since 2002. Ancestry.com has it, as well as Heritage Quest. [AZORES-Genealogy] Google Groups Error messages
Just so everyone knows, I've been reporting the you are already subscribed to this group error message every 2-3 day to no avail. The only solution Google Groups has is an UNMODERATED forum/list. I've been reporting it under Something is Broken but I just posted it to every place in that forum that I could post it to. Under their Known Issues they state that they cannot respond back to every email (but they can generate automatic error messages - why can't an automatic your email has been received for our review message be generated? I'm aware of a possible new problem too - one member so far gets a message saying this group no longer exists. Let me know if you are getting that message too.
