[AZORES-Genealogy] Francisco de Pimentel from Santa Cruz, Flores
Just thought I would throw this out there again. I am looking for a Francisco de Pimentel born abt 1741 in Sao Sebastiao, Santa Cruz, Flores he married Barbara da Conceicao abt 1764. There kids were born in Nossa Senhora dos Anjos, Faja de Baixo. His wife was from Faja de Baixo. I have looked for a marriage in Faja and I did not find one there. Somebody has looked in the Flores book and this Francisco is not in it. So if anyone has info or comes across this couple please let me know. Hi, E The etombo.com site is severely out of date. It hasn't been updated in more than two years, and there's several districts that are no longer accessible via that portal. Among others, that's why I'm developing a replacement system in http://tombo.pt. I've got the crawler working, and I've scraped up a simple 'what's new' page while the rest of the system isn't ready to completely replace the etombo. Shirl, I spent a lot of time and trial and error but I did learn how to use the etombo system (more of less). I am also trying the site address Joao suggested. In locating the Passporte record I was trying to find on the etombo site, (it only gives the name and number and where they are going-not the actual Passporte) I found another relative that I was totally surprised to find. I am assuming I need to contact the Archives in Lisbon to obtain an actual copy of the Passporte??? Anyone know about this??? I did manage the birth, marriage, death records without too many problems. However, when I tried to use the arrow at the bottom of the page for the next record, I kept getting thrown off so I used the next number on the left hand side of the record. My result came in. I ordered the test on Jul 15. My DNA was on file so they just pulled the sample and sent it to the lab. So if you ordered your FF the first part of the Sizzling Summer Sale and your kit was received about Jul 15 or it was on file there is a good chance your results are in. Elisabeth C, You have 5 new matches, but none are on your Azorean side. Method 1: Log into your FTDNA page. Point at Family Finder. Click on Matches. Change the filter to Show All Matches. Click on the column heading Match Date. It goes to the oldest. Click on the column heading Match Date AGAIN. It goes to the newest. Method 2: Log into your FTDNA page. Point at Family Finder. Click on Matches. Change filter to New Since... Type in a date. Cheri, His name is John Anthony Vieira and he has ancestors in Norte Grande. I don’t see a connection yet but I’m sure there will be eventually although he is only showing 5th to remote cousin. I have others that are closer but they don’t have a gedcom up. This is all on FamilyFinder. Hi Eliseu, Matias Pais and Maria Cunha are my 8 great grandparents. Isabel and Manuel are Maria da Rosa Parents . Francisco Pais and Maria da Rosa were married on 19 Aug. 1691. Manuel Cunha Vasconcellos and Catharina Perreira. his parenta were Manuel da Cunha and Catharina Jose or Rosa were married on 27 Jan. 1686. Catharina parents were Pais incognito and Antonia Espinola . Do you have any dates for these people? On my Pacheco Aragao or Barbosa line I don’t know why they droped Barbosa and carried Aragao to this country. Have you come across any of these in Porto Formoso orRibeira Funda? It's coming from his mom's mom, Emilia Freitas. George Pacheco did the work. John Vieira wrote an email that I forwarded to George so I can get the Gedcom. John Vieira 's dad's dad line was done by Arlene Marcoux. His email asked for the Gedcom from her too.
