Could someone please help with the marriage records of Manoel Cabral and Marie De Mederios (left page)? I know the date is February 23, 1737. Manoel Cabral was the son of Manoel Cabral (deceased) and Anna Martins. Ana Concellos is actually Vasconcellos. Joao and Anna married on 16 May 1710 in Ginetes according to Canto Index. He was the son of Joao Moreira and Luzia de Medeiros and Ana was the daughter of Antonio Jorge and Barbara de Vasconcellos. Your welcome Diane, I thought the story about the man falling into the Sperm Whale's mouth then getting bitten and surviving was interesting. No matter how one views the history of Whaling I think our ancestors were heroic and did what they needed to do, they had few options but somehow always managed to make ends meet and take care of their families. Pam, I found the marriage record -image number 83 in the same book/group. It looks to me like the year is 1700 mil sette centos de de tar de?? And Anna's father looks like Antonio JozeI compared what looks like a z to the z in baptized a above.
