It seems we have a lot of Carvalho’s from Bretanha. My great grandfather Manuel 
Joaquim de Carvalho was born 18 Oct 1862  in Bretanha the son of Jacintho 
Jaoquim de Carvalho and Joaquina de Jesus Botelho. Paternal grandparents were 
Antonio Joaquim de Carvalho and Lucrecia Umbelina, Maternal grandparents were 
Jacinto Raposo Botelho and Anna Joaquina. 

 

My 4th great grandfather was Joaquim de Carvalho who married Treasa Margarida 
on 5 Feb 1874 in Sao Sebastiao Church in Ginetes. Many of his male decedents 
use the middle name Joaquim.

 

My oldest Carvalho Ancestor is my 8th great grandfather Antonio de Carvalho who 
was born around 1589. His son Andre de Carvalho married Beatriz Ferreira on 19 
May 1648 in Ginetes.

Comparing with letters in other words of the record, i can see that the
first letter is a 'b', but i can't figure out what the second one is. Maybe
a 'd'? 'bdrra'?? Abbreviation for what word?...
But why is the 'b' not capitalized? Is it reffering to something else other
than a name? Maybe a nickname or a profession?

It does not list the grandparents and the mother name is Maria Querobina 
(Querubina now, as in a cherub angel) who was born in Achadinha 
The priest`s name is Francisco Jacinto de Medeiros, vigário próprio dessa 
Parochia (vicar  to that Parish)  e foi padrinho Antonio Feliciano Machado 
or Masado(?) - next word may be estudante (student)
Testemunhas (witnesses) José Soarez and Euzébio Francisco do Porto.
