[AZORES-Genealogy] How to join projects at Family Tree DNA (FTDNA)

2016-06-10 Thread Cheri Mello
(Cross posted to Azores, Madeira, and IslandRoutes lists)

I've been getting a lot of requests on how to join projects at Family Tree
DNA (FTDNA). I guess some people don't order through the project and are
floating around in the FTDNA database without a home. So here are the
directions. If you are both Azorean and Madeiran, you can be in both. Or if
you are say, Madeiran and Hawaiian, you can be in those too).

1) Log into your FTDNA page with your kit number and password.

2) Across the top is says: myFTDNA, DNA Tests, ProjectsPoint at
Projects. When the drop down menu appears, click "Join a project."

3) If the Azores Islands (or Madeira or Polynesian) appears on the top,
click the link and scroll down to the JOIN button at the end.

4) If the Azores Islands (or Madeira or Polynesian) is not suggested,
scroll down to where it says "Search by Surname" and type: Azores (or
Madeira or Polynesian).

5) When Azores Islands (or Madeira or Polynesian) appears, click the link
and follow the directions.

NOTE: The Polynesian DNA project requires a Join Request. You must explain
your lineage to your Polynesian ancestor in order to join.
Hope this helps! Cheri Mello, Family Tree DNA Admin (volunteer)

  The
amount of noise we make down there on the International
Floor when researching - I guess they are used to large
groups (we sit away from the Information Desk so we
don't drive them crazy). One evening, Nancy Jean
commandeered the TV in the hotel lobby away from the guy

probably me) rearranged the furniture in the hotel lobby

We've gone over to JB's (the coffee shop attached to
the hotel) with a large group too. All this on top of the
classes and research assistance that you receive. We just
like to have fun and try our hardest to make people
  successful.

Same is Manoel Viera, for me not Manoel Vieira Moreira Leitão.

Maria de Medeiros was died in 26/12/1749, in Ribeira Seca
