I guess that spelling would depend on the time period. The ending "ão" was
"am" back in the day.

Modern Portuguese today: irmão da mãe do batizado. But yes, the translation

I was able to decipher the 1st half of the marriage on the previous page petty 
well but; am not able to follow this second page at all!  Can anyone tell me 
the name of the bride’s parents please?  Left hand, top.

[AZORES-Genealogy] Passportes from mainland Portugal

I am trying to find a Passporte from mainland Portugal to the USA.  The
person was born in Porto.  Where were the points of departure or was there
only one, Lisbon? This would be ca 1920-1923.  I know there are Passportes
online as I found a relatives record ca 1919 but it has been a while ago
and I need to relearn the system. I am trying to see if I can get a more
definitive location for where this person was born other than just Porto so
I don't have to go through so many records.

You are exactly right.  Groupon often, but not always, extends deals.  In 
addition, if you make a purchase, you are likely to continue to be notified 
about that particular company's offerings via email.

I've never used Groupon. Someone else explained how it works (from the user 
end).

I'm wondering if FTDNA makes a deal with Groupon (for example, through April 
30th). So when we get to April 28th or 29th, Groupon say only a couple of days 
remaining. Then I wonder if FTDNA renews it. Weird that the Groupon "expires" 
and then there's another. 

Anyways, sounds like a great way to pick up Family Finder at a discounted

Solanda Lopes and her husband who came to S. Miguel from Madeira.

Well, I’ve poured through the marriage records for Rabo de Peixe and can’t find 
them there or in many of the surrounding parishes (that does not mean that the 
record is not there).  Could something else be written in this document that 
might lead me to another parish?
I also have them as a couple in Rabo de Peixe in their daughter, Maria’s 
marriage to Tome Alvarez in Rabo de Peixie, 19 Feb 1726 right (right side).

I have searched for the births of these children, Joseph de Faria and Maria 
Cabral, and have not found them in Rabo de Peixe or surrounding parishes.
I found Manuel Cabral’s death record in Rabo de Peixe:  18 Sep 1755; +/- 70 yrs

RG-RABODEPEIXE-O-1745-1758/ SMG-RG-RABODEPEIXE-O-1745- 1758_item1/P89.htmlYes, 
the above leads me to a birth of a Manuel (11 Dec 1680), but I cannot go there 
without any other proof.
The help I would like after looking at these records, are there any other clues 
for finding a marriage record of Manuel Cabral and Maria de Oliveira AND/OR are 
there any other clues where I might find the births of their two children, 
Joseph de Maria and Maria Cabral.
