I believe he was from Sao Jorege and she may have been from Faial. Both would have been born before 1840 as therir son, Jose Joaquin Lucas, birth year has been stated as 1840. The couple had at least 2 other children, girls. One came to USA with son Jose to New England. He later came to San Francisco East Bay Mission San Jose area.
