Thank you Angela. I found a lot of articles about him and some written by
him in the Bates Student Newspaper, including his wedding announcement.

Thanks Cheri. Yes, that is him. A Manteiga passed away last month, I
thought it was his sister but wasn't sure, Antonio and Mary Cabral were her
parents. I think Bates College is in Lewiston.

I don't know where Bates College is. It's not in California.

If he was a freshman in 1954, he'd be born 1936, give or take a year.

Building off of Bill's work, there's a John Manteiga b. 24 June 1936 and
died 22 July 2005 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. His father was Antonio
S. Manteiga and his mother was Mary Cabral.

Thanks Bill. I just found an obit for him as well, lists his birthday as 69
when he died, so birthday is about 1936.
