Maria N, They don't exist anymore. Shirley and I went there and we looked through the book to be sure that they weren't bound somewhere else, say the back of the book, and not filmed. They just aren't there. I have ancestors who married there and I can not go further back. Hope DNA will help solve it. Nope not that one, there are about 7 years missing in the casamentos from Sao Pedro, roughly 1770-1777. If you've seen them somewhere else please let me know! Which time period in Vila Franca is missing? The only one that appears to be missing is 1663-1669 in VFSM. Is this the period you are referring to? I understand, I have the same situation in one of my lines from Vila Franca do Campo, I can't find a couple's wedding because that time period is missing, I can only trace one side further back because the bride's name is unusual. Thank you Mnk. I have found the marriage of the sister of Jose in Santa Cruz and followed that line. The problem is the line of Verissima Joaquina, because the book for that time period is not online. Hello everybody, I'm looking for the marriage of José Coelho de Serpa e Verissima Joaquina, probably in Freguesia de Santo Antôno do Porto Judeu in Angra do Heroismo, Terceira.
