I am the great granddaughter of Antonio Ferreira and Leonor De Jesus. I know that they left Ponta Delgada in 1865 and arrived in Hawaii of that same year. At the time they left they had their first child Maria Ferreira with them, she was 5 months old. By way of Passport records I know my ggf's parents were Manuel Ferreira and Jacinta or Jacintha Duarto of Feteiras. If anyone has any link to them please let me know. I know Manuel was 26 and Leonor was 29 and they were married in 1863. Maria was born in 1864. I can trace them to the Hawaiian Islands and to Hayward and Oakland, CA. Leonor died in 1960 in Oakland. I am not able to find any record of Antonio after his arrival to Hayward in 1920. They also had a son named Manuel born in Hilo who came to California and I can find no trace of him either. There were also two other daughters born of their marriage Julia and Virginia both born in Hilo. Virginia is my grandmother. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone has to offer.
