this could possibly be Rua da Praca which is the name of a road in Sao
sebastiao, it is located across the street from the village church.

It's the name of the road or street. Rua is street ,  route, road, etc

A  poça is a pool.

A rough translation would be 'Road of the Pool'
Probably there was alot of water on the road, maybe from a spring.
In Terceira documents, the priest wrote where they lived quite often.
