Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Henriques family

2016-03-09 Thread linda

Eric,

Thanks so much. I appreciate the pointers :)

I was much more tired than I realized last night-- I misread the original
note (confused a birthday for a marriage date), and in re-reading my note I
see I didn't exactly say what I intended to.

Anyway, I hope that Carol makes good progress in her searches-- you've
certainly given her a good start!

regards,

Linda

On the 1910 census for Anderson, Shasta, CA there is an Antone J Bastana

Frank Roger Henriques born 3/25/185(2) or(5) Flores Azores died CA
 5/13/1946
 mother's maiden name Alameda
 immigrated to USA 1872

married Maria Jose (Joseph) born 9/22/1861 Flores, Azores died CA

There does not seem to be much information about Frank Rogers Henriques
 while in the Azores.
Could you direct me in how to continue research?
 Thank You

[AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Henriques family

2016-03-09 Thread linda
How about searching the Kindle version of the Flores Marriage records?

It's very late here, so I'll pick it up again tomorrow, but really need to
turn in now. I've found one record that almost works:

Francisco Rodrigues Henriques [23 years old, son of Jose Rodrigues
Henriques e de Lucinda Alves de Jesus] m. 1895.10.26. to Maria Jose de
Avelar Henriques [14 years, daughter of Jose Rodriques de Avelar and Maria
Jose de Avelar]

the date doesn't work, though. I don't have much experience with this
resource, and for some reason, I seem to get only 100 matches max for any
search I try. I know there are more than 100 "Franciscos" in the book, so
I need to figure out how to effectively search the entire document.

till later,

Linda
