it is actually a correct spelling believe it or not...lol...its just not a very common one. i am wondering if it is a regional thing...spelling a certain way depending on location or something like that...so far not sure though.lol. i do know her birthday, the baprism records only got to 1905 and she was born in 1906...lol...my luck. i have estimates for the others in her family and i am currently crawling through them to see what i can find. thank you!!! The ship they sailed on, the Swanley, picked them up 20 Oct 1909 at Ponta Delgada. It lists all of the family as born in Ponta Garca There is no 1909 Ponta Delgada passport available.
