Sam,

It's a personal preference. I turn it on for all images. If you have another
program you prefer to open when you double click on a file, then don't
associate with IrfanView. You can always select later in the option dialog in
IrfanView.

Hi,

On Windows 8.1 and I think on Windows 8, you have two options for rotating an
image.

1. Open the image by double-clicking. That opens the Windows Photo Viewer
which has a rotation function in the tools at the bottom of the screen.

Or

2. Go the Start screen and find Windows Paint. It’s in the Accessories.
It has rotation and some simple photo editing tools. If you can’t find it, go
to the Start screen and type “Paint.” You don’t need to select or click on
anything. A search box will open on the right side of the screen and will
display programs with the word “Paint” in them. Click on the result for “Paint”
and it should open the Paint program.

This should be easier than rotating your laptop.

Hi Cheri,

Yes, this one seems like scratch paper. I see a birth (upside down) and a
death record in there (dowside up:), but I'd have to verify if the records
were then correctly transcribed. The books might have been "on tour" when
the priest performed those services.

Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: 1866 marriage Ribeira das Tainhas, Sao Miguel island, written at end of book

2014-07-24 Thread Cheri Mello
Oh! A good chunk of it reads like a marriage, but it was after that
closing paragraph and it didn't follow the language I was used to.

Is this one the same thing? But it's a little more like scratch paper with
some math and one entry written upside down!
