He is son of Manuel Borges of Altares and Domingas de São Mateus, native of the parish of Santa Beatriz of Quatro Ribeiras (On Teceira not Faial); both are parishioners of Altares. What I see is that this baptism was on 11 January? 1714 by the priest, but was first baptized at home on 5 of the same month by Maria Nunes, daughter of Manuel Homem Machado and his wife Apolonia Nunes.
