Well, I have to admit that I made a mistake (shocking!! Lol). I had two 
children with what I thought were the same parents. The only problem being they 
appeared to be born almost 20 years apart. Finally, I decided to check it out 
and discovered that Francisco & Antonia were married 2 Sep 1770 in Assuncao.

Francisco was born in Santa Barbara, Ilha Santa Maria.

Definitely not my Francisco. Most of my descendants are from Santa Barbara,
but my Francisco appears to be from Santo Espírito.

I see Francisco's mother as Marianna de Jesus in both records.  I do see a 
Marianna de Meneses on the marriage record, but she is the mother of the 
bride (Antonia de Meneses).

The Marriage one looks like Marianna de Jesus, and Baptism one looks like
Marianna de Meneses, the baptism is very blurry...
