Yes, the Jewish genealogists made a HUGE push to get DNA tested hence they seem to the group with the most matches. Not unusual at all. Ashkenazi Jews and people with ancestry from the British Isles are the two groups that I believe test the most. I have quite a few matches on Gedmatch with Eastern European surnames a few I have verified as Ashenazi Jews. There will be more Portuguese matches as more Portuguese people test. It's very frustrating. I'll try again, and yes Doug, I do have that many matches. It's all on my father's side. For some reason ftDNA is top heavy with Ashkenazi Jewish people. Is it possible to use gedmatch if you have 172 pages of ftDNA family finder matches?
