Re: Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Centro de Conhecimento dos Açores website
Something tells me that ALL is not all 9 islands. For some reason, I don't think Sao Miguel was scanned. At least not by the CCA. Don't know why I have that thought in my head. Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Centro de Conhecimento dos Açores website
I launched IE (Internet Explorer) and it looks like the site was crawled all the way up to the images, but not the images. Rats, rats, rats. I thought I had a work around. If it makes anyone feel any better, my email to the CCA had that "postmaster will try to deliver for 3 more daysdo not resend your message" error. So I wonder if something is going on with the whole 9 yards. OK, if you use the Internet Archive (or Wayback Machine), you can get in. http://wayback.archive.org/web/*/http://pg.azores.gov.pt/drac/cca/ig/ Click on May 16th. I didn't check any links to see if I could see actual records. Remember, this one does NOT work with Firefox. Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Centro de Conhecimento dos Açores website
When I sent the new URL, I did not searches on it. I had to go to work. Others have reported to me that only the passaportes work (I don't know for which ports) and no parish records are working. I can email the CCA and ask if they have any idea of when it will be live. Cheri 2012/2/18 Nancy Couto > I had the same experience. Re: [AZORES-Genealogy] Re: Centro de Conhecimento dos Açores website
I had the same experience. The initial pages come up, but the records appear to be not yet available. For the Passaportes the available dates appear, but the pages with the Passaportes do not. I've tried it with Internet Explorer, Safari, and Firefox. I'm hopeful that the new site will work with Firefox. Like you, I've bookmarked a few records. But luckily I've saved copies of the most important ones. Did you notice that ALL the freguesias on ALL the islands are listed on the pull-down menus. I hope this means that more records will be added soon.
