Re: [BackupPC-users] Phantom host
As far as I know, because there are a few other techs here that might’ve done something. But I doubt it, the one most likely to have changed something has been busy with other projects lately. I will ask around, and also check MAC addresses, thanks for the suggestion. [BackupPC-users] Phantom host
I’m having a funny issue with a host. A few weeks ago, the machine running BackupPC lost the ability to find the NetBIOS name of a laptop (10.1.10.121) on the network. I eventually just resolved the issue by adding an entry to the hosts file, but one of the first things I tried while troubleshooting was to check the DHCP box for that laptop in Hosts. >From then on, even after unchecking the box, and restarting BackupPC as well >as the machine it’s running on, there is a phantom 10.1.10.121 host that >appears in “Failures that need attention” and in the daily admin email. [BackupPC-users] Backup hung well past timeout value
I’ve got the timeout for my backups set at 36000 seconds (10hrs). I’ve currently got two backups that appear to have been hung/inactive for almost 5 days. I’m trying to dig through the logs and see what might have happened, but I can’t figure out why it would a backup would persist that far beyond the timeout value. Any help? -Wade -- Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot___ BackupPC-users mailing list BackupPC-users@lists.sourceforge.net List:https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/backuppc-users Wiki:http://backuppc.wiki.sourceforge.net Project: http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/
