Re: [Bacula-users] Full backup forced if client changes

How do I avoid this? i would run the bacula-fd (maybe a second instance to not intefere with other backups on the node) with the same configuration on every shared storage node where you would like to backup the storage and setup an DNS entry to point at the desired node. - Thomas -- This SF email is sponsosred by: Try Windows Azure free for 90 days Click Here http://p.sf.net/sfu/sfd2d-msazure ___ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
Re: [Bacula-users] Multi client multy storaje multy job configuration

The storage is not tape or DVD. It is HDD, so there should no problems with or without spool. My problem is maximum jobs on the client. The 'problem' is bacula. Bacula uses every storage type the same way. As long as you only have 1 drive for that storage, only 1 job will run the same time. The 2 common solutions to this are - use a virtual changer (vchanger) and just have more drives, I failed to set that up myself in the context of virtual full backups - use 1 pool per client, if you want to in the same directory and a common 'Recycle Pool'. It works great that way for me. Regards, Adrian Hi Adrian! Yes you are right about bacula dealing with files/tapes. But my situation is differ. I have 4 storages with one device each. And my problem is that bacula do not want to backup different clients to different storages concurrently in case clients have less than 3 jobs allowed. I have no problem with storage. I have tested configurations with spool and two drives per storage and it works fine. But bacula still try to start concurrent jobs from one client. The thing i need is bacula backing up multiple clients at the same time. Not multiple jobs from the same client at the same time. [Bacula-users] Job status confusion
Dear ALL I have found out that job status in bconsole does not update. I have started restore job to check backup and have following: 1150 XX.sql-Full-restore.2012-03-25_14.46.28_33 is waiting on Storage FileStorage-X.sql-fd But at the same time i can see data restored on the client. And as far as i understand the job status should be running. [Bacula-users] bacula table b2123??
Hello all, I notice that I have a table called b2123 that hasn't been written to in months (Nov 4 2011) and does not appear to be one of the tables created during install. Is this some kind of temp table that I can go ahead and drop? It looks like the File table only much much smaller. thanks!
