[Bacula-users] Webacula errors using two catalogs

2017-05-09 Thread Iban Cabrillo
Hi,
  I do not know if this is the correct forum to ask, but I just migrate
from bacula 5x to 7x, and I was trying to manage it using webacula (v7.0.0,
build 2014.10.05).

  The first handicap I just find is that i have two catalogs (in a firts
step I only want to use the first one) and some pages do not work properly
because of this (I have not found a way to pass the catalog selection from
web interface).

  The other (maybe related to the first) is some error when i try to run or
re-run a job from web interface i always get this error job name "was not
found in the *haystack*" (Zend Framework 1.12.0)

   Has Someone any idea how to solve this issues?

regards, I

Re: [Bacula-users] bacula TLS help

2013-11-28 Thread Iban Cabrillo
HI Tim,
  I was pretty sure that the trouble was on the CN, could you tray to
create the cert without the email value??
/emailAddress=bluethu...@gmail.comhttp://storage.jokefire.com/emailAddress=bluethu...@gmail.com,
only CN=storage.jokefire.com.

 Have you check too that these files:

  /etc/pki/tls/certs/storage.jokefire.com.crt
  /etc/pki/tls/private/storage.jokefire.com.key

belongs to bacula user ?

regards, I

2013/11/28 Tim Dunphy bluethu...@gmail.com

 Hello Iban! And thank you for your reply.

  I have a similar configuration. I think that the problem is in the CN:
 CN=storage.jokefire.com/emailAddress=bluethu...@gmail.com

 please could you show the value for DirAddress = bacula.example.org

 in my case:

   DirAddress = bacula.example.org

   TLS Enable = yes
   TLS Require = yes
   TLS Verify Peer = no
   TLS CA Certificate File = /etc/bacula/certs/ca/signing-ca-1.crt
   TLS Certificate = /etc/bacula/certs/cert/bacula.crt
   TLS Key = /etc/bacula/certs/key/bacula.key

 This is my director configuration from bacula-dir.conf

 Director {# define myself
   Name = storage.jokefire.com
   DIRport = 9101# where we listen for UA connections
   QueryFile = /etc/bacula/query.sql
   WorkingDirectory = /var/spool/bacula
   PidDirectory = /var/run
   Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 1
   Password = secret # Console password
   Messages = Daemon
   TLS Certificate = /etc/pki/tls/certs/storage.jokefire.com.crt
   TLS Key = /etc/pki/tls/private/storage.jokefire.com.key
   TLS CA Certificate File = /etc/pki/CA/certs/rootBaculaCA.pem
   TLS Enable = yes
   TLS Require = yes
   TLS Verify Peer = yes
 }

 I hope I got you right in that this was what you needed to know.

 Looking at the cert:

 openssl x509 -in /etc/bacula/certs/cert/bacula.crt -noout -text

 Subject: C=ES, ST=X, O=, OU=Computing Department, CN=
 bacula.example.org

 openssl x509 -in /etc/pki/tls/certs/storage.jokefire.com.crt -noout -text

   Subject: C=US, ST=X, L=, O= LLC, OU=Ops, CN=
 storage.jokefire.com/emailAddress=bluethu...@gmail.com

 [root@storage:~] #hostname -f
 storage.jokefire.com

 The CN must be the sme that DirAddress (I did not use email address for
 cert sign)

 It appears as if the DirAddress and the common name do agree. Might there
 be something else I could have missed?

 Thanks
 Tim

 Hello all,

  I'm trying to add TLS encryption to my bacula setup.

  I've been following this guide which got me almost all of the way there:

 http://blog.earth-works.com/2013/08/03/configuring-bacula-to-use-tls-to-encrypt-connections/

 I modified the following sections in my bacula-dir.conf file:

 Director {# define myself

   Name = storage.jokefire.com

   DIRport = 9101# where we listen for UA connections

   QueryFile = /etc/bacula/query.sql

   WorkingDirectory = /var/spool/bacula

   PidDirectory = /var/run

   Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 1

   Password = secret # Console password

   Messages = Daemon

   TLS Certificate = /etc/pki/tls/certs/storage.jokefire.com.crt

   TLS Key = /etc/pki/tls/private/storage.jokefire.com.key

   TLS CA Certificate File = /etc/pki/CA/certs/rootBaculaCA.pem

   TLS Enable = yes

   TLS Require = yes

   TLS Verify Peer = yes

 }

 Client {

   Name = ops.jokefire.com

   Address = ops.jokefire.com

   FDPort = 9102

   Catalog = JokefireCatalog

   Password = secret # password for FileDaemon

   File Retention = 14 days# 14 days

   Job Retention = 14d# 14 days

   AutoPrune = yes # Prune expired Jobs/Files

   TLS Certificate = /etc/pki/tls/certs/storage.jokefire.com.crt

   TLS Key = /etc/pki/tls/private/storage.jokefire.com.key

   TLS CA Certificate File = /etc/pki/CA/certs/rootBaculaCA.pem

   TLS Enable = yes

   TLS Require = yes

 }

 And in my bacula-fd.conf

 Director {

   Name = storage.jokefire.com

   Password = secret

   TLS Certificate = /etc/pki/tls/certs/storage.jokefire.com.crt

   TLS Key = /etc/pki/tls

2013-11-28 Thread Iban Cabrillo
Hi,

Inserting the value* innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=2* in my.cnf
did the trick (innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=0 works fine two), but the
default value (innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=1), seems to be doing
something wrong.
   One full backup (7 GB) has decreased the backup time from 4h (45
spooling data, and 3h 15h despolling attrs) to 45 min

 Here are examples from my backup server with mysql:

 1) 18,688,335 files in 37 minutes, which is ~ 500,000 files per minute:

03-Nov 08:37 backup-sd: Sending spooled attrs to the Director.

 Possibly the fiber cable? Can you swap it out and try again?
 I had 20 fiber connections and one of them needed replacing. It made the

 Hi, Any Idea?

 FC LIP reset is not related to Bacula - IMHO. I had the same problem but
 with a changer device. The problem was a second server which accidentally
 accessed the same target (at random time). When I switch off the second
 server the problem was cured. Sure, your problem could has a different
 origin then my, and YMMV. BTW, what kernel tape driver do you use (Linux
 stock)?

 Dear,
   From time to now, I can use the LTO5 drive.

 The Robot storage systems is formed by 2 tapes (LT03 FC connection 2Gbps
 and LT05 8Gbps FC connection) and and autochanger.:

 root@bacula:~# lsscsi

 Is has been working fine from several months but now every time i try to
 access to LT05 a FC lip reset happens, this is not immediately (the tapes
 begins to write data, I have used spool data and no spool data with the
 same result), but after a few minutes :

 Aug 16 11:40:57 bacula kernel: [168140.661988] st1: Error 1 (driver bt

 then the LT05 and autochanger device disappear from my devices and i have
 to lip/scan again, but all the jobs that was running or scheduled fail

 The LT03 works grate if i do not use the LT05 of course.
  I have changed the FC card ith the same result, check the tape drive
 using the mt commands and works fine too

 Any one has seen something similar??

 Hi,
  I just attach the requested info.
  The director show jobs waiter for prio, but we are using different pools
 and different storage device. I will understand this behavior if the jobs
 were using the same storage device, but not in this king of configuration.

 Too much... :)

 So, your situation:

 Running Jobs:
  JobId Level   Name   Status
 ==
 38 FullCabas17.2013-07-15_09.31.33_58 is running
   2923 Increme Doriiie2.2013-07-15_18.00.00_59 is waiting for higher
 priority jobs to finish
   2924 Increme BackCan.2013-07-15_18.00.01_00 is waiting execution
 (...)

 and

 Job: name=Cabas17 JobType=66 level=Differential Priority=10 Enabled=0
 Job: name=Doriiie2 JobType=66 level=Full Priority=9 Enabled=1

 cannot run in the same time because they priorities are different.

Hi,
 Is there no Idea about this issue?

2013/7/17 Iban Cabrillo cabri...@ifca.unican.es

 Dear,
 We have a simple bacula configuration.
 And autochanger with two tape device (LTO3 and LTO5), for two kind of
 different backups. Both work when they run independently. But If a job on
 LTO5 is running the other jobs related to LTO3 are waiting until this jobs
 has finished. This is a pain in the ass, because the LTO5 run very long
 unique/full backups (along days) then I found that a couple of incremental
 backups on LT03 running on the same day. The jobs run on different clients
 and event sometimes in different catalogs.

These are the relevant configuration:

 *bacula-dir.conf*

  Director {# define myself
Name = bacula-dir
DIRport = 9101# where we listen for UA connections
QueryFile = /etc/bacula/scripts/query.sql
WorkingDirectory = /var/lib/bacula
PidDirectory = /var/run/bacula
Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 10
Password = YY # Console password
Messages = Daemon
DirAddress = xx
.

 *bacula-sd.conf*

  Storage { # definition of myself
  Name = bacula-sd
  SDPort = 9103  # Director's port
  WorkingDirectory = /var/lib/bacula
  Pid Directory = /var/run/bacula
  Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 20
  SDAddress = x
  .

Autochanger {
   Name = TSM3500

 # %c = changer device
 # %o = command (unload|load|loaded|list|slots)
 # %S = slot index (1-based)

[Bacula-users] No parallel jobs running on diferente devices/tapes

2013-07-17 Thread Iban Cabrillo
Dear,
We have a simple bacula configuration.

Re: [Bacula-users] re-initizialize old tapes

2013-05-12 Thread Iban Cabrillo
Hi Pedro,
  I think there is no error, bacula is showing the volume occupied in the
tape now, no the total capacity.
  In my case for example :

*list volume pool=XXX

| VolRetention | Recycle | Slot | InChanger | MediaType |

|7,776,000 |   1 |   26 | 1 | LTO-5 | 2013-04-18

 Dear all,
 I'm trying to reinitzialize my old tapes, but I think i miss some step.

 Plese, can someone point me in the right direction ?

 This is what I do:

 This command is can be DANGEROUS!!!

 It purges (deletes) all Files from a Job,

 all Jobs from a Client or Volume without regard
 for retention periods. Normally you should use the
 PRUNE command, which respects retention periods.

 Hey folks,

 Anyone out there using one of these with bacula?
 Google only finds discussions on this list from 2008 which suggests it may
 work.
 Want to see whether there is some more recent info.

 thanks,
 -Alan

[Bacula-users] Bacula job replication to other machine

2013-05-02 Thread Iban Cabrillo
Dear,
  We are running the bacula 5.2.6+dfsg-8 on debian. All my backups are on
tape (we are using spool directory to increase the tape performance).

  We want to have another copy of this backups/jobs. Seems that bacula
cannot have a second instance (something like a shadow bacula to copy this
data/jobs automatically).
  The most suggested option , looking in the web is to use rsync, to
replicate the volume. i would like to know is the is a way to use to spool
directory to replicate the jobs on the fly.
  Or maybe there is a best way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

(day by day) backups, which are frequently pruned and other for long term
(my intention if to keep them for years).
  Using bconsole the is no problem you can select the catalog when you
start, but I have not found a way to select between catalog using BAT.
  Is the any way to do this?

[Bacula-users] Xattrsupport only store one value

2013-04-17 Thread Iban Cabrillo
Dear,
  Today I am a little prolific.

   I am trying to backup the extended attributes for some of my files, (the
are three attributes stored size, create-time and md5)

FileSet {
Name = Xattr
Include {
Options {
compression=GZIP
xattrsupport = yes
}
File = /path_to_FIles
}
Exclude {
}
}

The backup and restore, works fine, but only one value is stored in the
migrated file, while the original file contains three. I have checked that
the restore fs have xattr support, but I have not found any reason for this
behavior.
Any idea?

Re: [Bacula-users] Restores fails

2013-04-12 Thread Iban Cabrillo
Dear Ana,
  Thanks a lot for the info!!.
  I think, I have solved the issue. In the bacula Database--Storage table,
the was a TSM3500 and TSM3500 Library plus TS3500-LTO3 and
TSM3500-LTO5, I have removed the two first and the restore has work fine.

Thanks for the support, Iban

 Hi Iban,

 I´m afraid you have wrong configuration on your bacula-dir.conf about
 storages...
 I think you should have only one definition for storage, your autochanger
 named TSM3500. That way bacula will find correctly your storage device, the
 TSM3500, and the mtx-changer script and other configurations will help
 bacula to mount the volumes.

  your the storages contains should be:

 Storage {
   Name = TSM3500

   Address = 10.10.0.22
   SDPort = 9103
   Password = xxx
   Device = ULT3580-TD3
   Device = ULT3580-TD5
   Media Type = LTO-3
   Autochanger = yes
   Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 1 # i
 }

 Regards,
 Ana

[Bacula-users] Restore using brestore on BAT gui

2013-02-15 Thread Iban Cabrillo
Dear,
  Sorry if this question is already answer.
  After the bacula (to debian wheezy ) upgrade, current running is
5.2.6+dfsg-2 version, I can not do restores using the brestore option on
BAT graphical console (with the previous version the restoration using BAT
worked fine), I can surf through the options, select, client, job, the
files to restore, the tape, jobid and date is showed correctly, but always
get the same error;

Can't find the jobid, pathid or path argument

Other thing is that I do not see how i can restore a complete directory
using brestore, on the previous version it was very simple (mark or
unmark the box)

using the bconsole the restoration works fine.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance
