Re: [Bacula-users] Cannot find any appendable volumes

2010-04-23 Thread Peter Reilly

Hello,

I'm trying to understand what condition would cause bacula to not find
any appendable volumes, or recycle any tapes.

*ver
orlbacula-dir Version: 2.4.2 (26 July 2008) i686-redhat-linux-gnu redhat

I'm getting this error:

volumes.

Please use the label command to create a new Volume for:
Storage: Drive-0 (/dev/nst0)
Pool: Weekly
Media type: ULTRIUM-LTO-4

I've have these tapes in the pool.

[Bacula-users] Director shows job as running, client shows job as completed

2009-02-20 Thread Peter Reilly
With one client, I'm having a problem with backups completing. The client
shows the job as completed, but the director shows the job as running. I've
restarted both director and client. How do I best determine why the director
shows that this client never completes?

Here is status of client just before client finishes:

[Bacula-users] No entries in log table

2009-02-13 Thread Peter Reilly
I'm using mysql 5.0.45, and bacula 2.4.2 (installed from RPM). Most things
seem to be working well, but I'm getting nothing written to the log table in
mysql.

What configuration setting controls logging events to the mysql database?

Thanks in advance.

[Bacula-users] Autochanger with Dell ML6000 (Scalar i500)

2009-02-11 Thread Peter Reilly
When I have a tape mounted, list media in bconsole shows the tape as being in
a slot. mtx does not. Is this normal for bacula, or do I have a configuration
issue? (update slots has been run, and status storage shows the tapes as
mounted in the drives.)
