[Bacula-users] problem mounting volume on disk for restore

2010-06-03 Thread Jerry Lowry
I need to restore a directory from last nights backup. I have the
restore running but it is waiting to mount the volume.

when I try to mount the volume, I can only mount the storage volume
File1 not the volume hardware-0047 that is on this disk.

I need this quickly, so any help would be great.

   Job:  RestoreHardware.2010-06-03_10.19.41_17
   Storage:  FileStorage (/backup0/DBB)
   Pool: Restore
   Media type:   File

--
the volume is in this

Storage {
 Name = File1  # used for home/hardware
# Do not use localhost here
 Address = distress# N.B. Use a fully qualified name here

 SDPort = 9103
 Password =
 Device = FileStorage1
 Media Type = File
}

How do you mount the file on the storage volume?

thanks,

Normally you mount the storage device and it figures out what to do.

Is the volume in the folder /backup0/DBB

Re: [Bacula-users] problem mounting volume on disk for restore

2010-06-03 Thread Jerry Lowry
okay, I finally got it. when I tried to mount it on the storage
volume, I got an error:

jobid 351: Warning: acquire.c;224 Read open device FileStorage (
/backup0/DBB) volume hardware-0047 failed: ERR=dev.c:548 count not
open: /backup0/DBB/hardware-0047, ERR=no such file or directory

after really looking at it. I figured it out. The volume
hardware-0047 is on /backup1 but the restore is looking for it to be
on /backup0/DBB (which is an error in my config). I created a soft link
to the volume and away the restore went.

I was doing the restore using bat, but the only way I saw the error was
when I tried the mount in bconsole.

thanks
