[BangPypers] [PyCon India 2021] Call for Volunteering Team

2021-01-29 Thread Kumar Anirudha
Hi everyone,

We're planning to get started with PyCon India 2021 and looking for
everyone who might be interested in volunteering for the team. As
such, we're proposing PyCon India 2021 be online as 2020 did due to
similar reasons of uncertainty.

This is a call to python user groups to come forward and participate.
The best part of about online version is that everyone can connect
from anywhere, with no logistics boundaries. We expect fairly at least
2 folks to volunteer from every python user group.

If you're interested in volunteering, please reply to this email.
If you've doubts or queries about something, feel free to ask away as well.

Try integrating the boto3 library (https://pypi.org/project/boto3/).
I recently integrated sms service using pinpoint on a flask project. Should
be the same for django project as well.
Generate keys from IAM roles and give access to pinpoint service from aws
console before proceeding.

[BangPypers] March Devsprint Update

2020-03-06 Thread Kumar Anirudha
Hi all,

I'm sure you're aware of the increasing number of cases related to COVID-19
(Corona Virus). Though Bangalore isn't amongst the most infected of cities,
we'd like to take every necessary step to keep the community as safe as
possible.

Due to the unfortunate situation that has arisen, we'll have to move our
the devsprint, which was scheduled on March 21st from offline to online
mode.
We won't be present in any physical space but the devsprint will still
happen online. So, it's not restricted to Bangalore alone and folks from
all over can now participate. Also, now the devsprint will be carried on
for 2 days instead of 1 (March 21-22).
During the event, we would be interacting via online communication
platforms such as IRC, video calls if needed via Hangout/Zoom/Skype, etc
and Zulip/Discord/Telegram if needed for individual teams.
We'll share more details about the devsprint on our event page[1].

So far, we've selected 6 python open source projects and awesome mentors,
which will be announced soon. If you're yet to submit your project, now
would be a good time cause we'll close the project CFP[2] soon. Since the
new format, we can extend the CFP deadline by another week.

If you've any doubts, feel free to reach out to me, Anirudha (
anirudhast...@gmail.com) or Abhiram (abhi.darkn...@gmail.com) or Ritesh (
udr.rit...@gmail.com) at any point in next 2 weeks about the event and we
would be happy to clarify your queries.

[BangPypers] Python Devsprint

2020-02-02 Thread Kumar Anirudha
Hi all,

Do you often contribute to any open source software projects? Do you the
maintain/contribute to any oss/foss project and need help with fixing bugs,
building a certain feature and/or managing the project?

BangPypers brings you Python DevSprints to help you do just that! We'll be
having devsprints in our March (March 21st) meetup[0] and would love to
have you along with your projects participate for the same. The CFP[1] is
open for everyone now.

Any contributor to open source projects involved in development or
maintenance are most welcome. The project can be any interesting ppen
source project which is based on Python. We only expect that you would be
familiar with the code base by your previous contributions or managing the
same. You would be responsible in helping up and coming programmers to set
up their development environment, guide on pushing and merging code
upstream to your repo, and any problems they face during the event.

We obviously will be present in case of any help needed.

[BangPypers] Need Help

2013-08-22 Thread Kumar Anirudha
Sir,
I'm to attend Pycon India workshop at Nimhans convention center, Bangalore.
I'm searching for a cheap accommodation nearby. So, in case you can suggest
or recommend any such places(hotels, lodges, etc) for 3 nights 29th August
to 1st September.
