Thanks! Same here after updating to BBEdit 12 on Sierra, rebuilding Launch 
Services resolved this.

It was failing for me in High Sierra as well, but then I ran the following 
in Terminal and rebooted, and it is working now.

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister

I'm having the same problem. Services for BBedit 12 (in High Sierra) don't 
work for me. Tried in several apps (including Mail, which seemed to work 
for others -- in Sierra at least).

I fixed this by rebuilding the Launch Services database and restarting the 
machine.

This is on High Sierra (10.13). 

Every other Services menu item I've tried has worked. It is only the two 
BBEdit Services that don't work ("New BBEdit document with selection" and 
"Append selection to BBEdit scratchpad"). I've tried them from several 
applications. They never work.

It works from the menus here… MacOS 10.12.6 (16G29), however the keyboard 
shortcut I've assigned is hit and miss, mostly miss. It feels like an Apple 
problem to me.

Same. Also tried ti with Script Editor and Textedit and Terminal.
