Thank you to everyone for your replies and help. I ended up contacting
support and they confirmed there isn't a short cut for that command yet,
and they are going to implement it in the next release.

Thanks again!

It's very much the most recent. If you check the manual, you see that you need
to do a few things before getting to that display. If you search for "deploy"
in the manual you'll find it.

Well, BBEdit has an extremely well documented manual and amazing preference
settings, along with being advertized as *the* thing to work on HTML, so one
has every right to expect that feature. But the command is not even in the AS
dictionary.

I just checked the preferences and the manual and it doesn't look like it's
even possible to assign a shortcut to that item.

Re: Shortcut for "Deploy Site"?

2019-06-19 Thread Gustave Stresen-Reuter
Indeed I am unable to find that command.

I'm also unable to reproduce because all of my servers use private key
authentication and I am not seeing how to do that using BBEdit and SFTP.

And finally, you said:

> I see only reachable via mouse under the cloud icon at the bottom of the
sidebar.

I'm not sure what version of BBEdit you're using but maybe it's not the
most recent?

Good luck.

PS: It doesn't sit terribly well with me that your response is "No more
help?" rather than "I looked around some more and found that there are
other Mac system utilities such as Keyboard Maestro that will allow me to
do what I want."

PPS: One of the advantages to paying for software is access to support.
Have you tried contacting support? They're normally quick to respond…

Thank you Ted, I have tried that, but I can't find the "Deploy Site..."
command anywhere in that panel. Under what menu should I look? I looked
everywhere and I couldn't find it.

I'll be waiting for your additional thoughts.

Thanks again.

Re: Shortcut for "Deploy Site"?

2019-06-17 Thread Gustave Stresen-Reuter
Hi,

I think you might need to manually map that to a key combination, but you
can actually do that. Just open the BBEdit Preferences, click "Menus &
Shortcuts", click Full Menus, and then navigate to the command you are
interested in, click on the word "none" on the right hand side, and then,
finally, execute the keyboard shortcut you'd like to use for that command.

If the shortcut is already in use, BBEdit will notify you and give the
chance to replace it.

Shortcut for "Deploy Site"?

2019-06-17 Thread Fabrizio Ferrari
Hello everyone,
I am a new user of BBedit and I am learning how to use it right now.

I like very much how the program allows deploying via FTP any changes made
on the local files, but I am wondering if there is a keyboard shortcut for
the "Deploy Site..." command which I see only reachable via mouse under the
cloud icon at the bottom of the sidebar.

Please, let me know, that'd be very useful!

Thanks.
