Check which module is used by the 2.6.8-11 for your wifi.

Try to load it in 2.6.8-13 (some time several modules merge into a
single modules or change its name) check about that, also he release
notes of 2.6.8-13 ?

And let me know your wifi chip name ?

RHEL is the commercial version from Red Hat. It`s architecture is little bit
different than Fedora. Fedora is some sort of "beta release" by Red Hat.
After various checking and rechecking from users ... Red Hat releases that
"beta ( Fedora ) version " as Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

And CentOS is the *exact* alternative of RHEL. But, it`s free.

Re: [bdlug] Problem to use built in wireless device at 2.6.8-13 kernel

2009-07-14 Thread Salahuddin Pasha

In Debian based system you can

# lsmod (check the modules used by your system)
# lspci (check the device details)

I found you card might be

"0c:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g
(rev 01)
Subsystem: Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-Card"

So try loading the Broadcom module

b43 - Broadcom
or
b43legacy - Broadcom

Check the links:
