Great results.
Congratulations.  It's results like these that will make the chemical
growers really take some notice.  As a former florist I can vouch for the
fact that they a highly prized flower.

Did you take any
account of the vase life of them as well ?  I think we would both know of
the results there however ...

The floriculture
industry is one of the worst offenders with agrochemicals.

I have such wonderful
memories of my childhood picking the strawberries in Dad's garden and eating
lots before they even got into the kitchen!

Just recently I have
been looking to plant some in my own garden.  Can you give me some tips as
to how to do it please and what I should look for in the plants that I
buy.

Many
thanks

We somehow need to get the energy that is going in to this fart campaign to
be transferred to the anti GE campaign. The moratorium is set to be lifted
late October this year.

Any suggestions?

I would be very
interested in attending if you were to come to Aotearoa (NZ).  I enjoyed
the last one and feel that a refresher would be very advantageous.  You are
welcome to come and stay at Moturunga which is on the west coast just
north of Wanganui.

Peppering advice

2003-02-13 Thread Di Handley

Kia ora

As the full moon is in
Leo on Monday my understanding is that it is the best day for collecting weed
seeds for peppering.

Has anyone got any
experience of collecting/burning/spraying back on the land that they are able to
share.

Lungworm update

2003-01-26 Thread Di Handley

Kia ora

Firstly thanks to those
that have responded.  I did a diagnosis from Ian Buckingham symptoms and
then got the remedy in and today was the last day for it being cuprum
aceticum.  When I got to the runoff she was lying down and her
breathing was very laboured.  Not keen to get up so I administered the
remedy 3 times with ten min intervals

As of yesterday she
looked to have improved but today ...  Can they have more than one type of
worm at once?  I have got another dung sample which I will get
anaylsed.  I took one earlier in the week and when I checked with the vet
they said it would take until Monday to get the results.  I didn't do that
as thought she would be better by then.

In hope

More solid cow manure

2002-12-26 Thread Di Handley

Kia ora
all

This morning I went
into the cowshed and was somewhat amazed by the sudden difference in the
consistency of the manure.  Having had a difficult 9 months with the
cows healthwise it just seemed that this morning their manure was like it should
be rather than the green rainbows that they have been expelling most of the
time.

This really has me
wondering if there has been any cause for this as it was such a sudden change
and with them all.

Maybe it was because
Fonterra (NZ's giant dairy co-operative) have just been and signed me up today
to be processing our organic milk separately.  We are # 14 in a
country of 14,000 dairy farms.

Have a wonderful 2003
everyone and may your dreams come true like mine have today

For some of us in rural New Zealand there is a real problem with access to
the internet. Any big emails are just very hard to download and can clog up
your system. I'm told that electric fencing exaggerates the problem. I
appreciate the fact that BDNow is easily accessible.

I am intrigued by this concept of a person's essence. Does this mean that
women will have power over their lover - should seeds be sown?

Aqua colour in the NZ sky

2002-01-07 Thread Di Handley

Kia ora

Having just read the Aurora Farm update I was reminded of a sighting on the
early evening of 5th Jan.

As Woody and I are at the ceremonial rocks saying prayers with the morning
Agnihotra fire we notice beautiful colors, blue and coral, in the
Northeastern sky. We have commented many times these Holynights on how color
now appears different to us.

At Kaiteriteri, which is on the northwestern coast of the South Island, I
was looking up towards the sky in the noreaster direction and there was at
the base of a cloud a wonderful aquamarine colour which I had never seen
before. I commented to my friend who agreed with me. It stayed for about
10 mins. I felt at the time that it had a very cleansing look for the sky.

Here's to a great 2002 for all
