More Thyroid Thoughts

Very interesting thread and unfortunately too close to our situation with
Babe diagnosed with lupus.  It may have been mentioned before, but I do
worry about the standard treatment for auto immune disease -
pred/Imuran/etc., all of which suppress the immune system.  So while it
helps the overactive immune reaction, is it making the body more susceptible
to cancers, etc. because the overall immune system is suppressed?
