not quite sure where the humor is? server has used exactly this
approach when it introduced some previous new features, like TPE2
treatment.

Erland already did the code to add a pref to disable automatic VA
scanner detection:

http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8324

this would mean that only those items with explicit comp=1 tags would be
identified as a comp to server. that would be great! quicker scans,
predictable behavior, etc.

i would make this the default option on a new install. on an existing
install respect existing behavior, whichever way it is. thx.

Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] LMS 7.9 and DSD

2018-02-28 Thread Blackfiction

Hi All,

can someone help me out with DSD?
I have an album added (dsf) in LMS 7.9.1. I have setup DSDPlayer to use
Enable DSD-over-PCM. I have set the volume level at fixed 100%. The
music plays on my Benchmark DAC2HGC (connected via spdif, edo enabled).

But I think that the files are converted to PCM as the front lights of
the DAC show 24bit, 4x 44khz. For DSD both the 2x and 4x lights should
be on. Am I doing anything wrong?

Any help appreciated!

Living: SB Touch -> Benchmark DAC2 HGC -> Benchmark AHB2 -> ATC SCM19 v2
& Sennheiser HD650
Kitchen: SB Touch -> Audio Pro Addon T10 gen2
Kids rooms: SB Booms
Bedroom: SB Boom & SB Radio
Controls: iPeng & LMS via internet
Server: Windows 10 with LMS 7.9.1
Spare: 1 SB Touch, 1 SB3, 1 SB Radio
