Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] LMS 7.9 and DSD
Hi Guys, I'm a bit lost since I reinstalled my LMS server yesterday, DSD files don't work anymore. I did reinstall the DSDPlayer plugin and configure it for my player (picoreplayer) I had done a reinstall recently also, still with the Synology package, and didn't have any issues LMS is running on a Synology 415+ What's the latest on getting that to work? Is the DSDPlayer in the plugin list the correct one or should I look for an alternate repo where another plugin is available? That was the case in the past with pinkdot's repo... I find so many old threads about this I'm confused as per what to do now! Syno 415+ with LMS 7.9 -> Picoreplayer 3.11 with Audio-GD I2S hdmi output -> PS Audio DirectStream -> Pass Labs XP20 -> Pass Labs XVR-1 -> 2 x Karan KA S 400 -> XTZ Divine 100.49 -> happiness Linvincible's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63198 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101641 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] LMS 7.9 and DSD
Hello, Martin (Pinkdot) published a new DSDPlayer for Synology that now works. See this post: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103636-Test-Repo-for-LMS-7-9-0-on-Synology-DSM-5-*=861713=1#post861713 The only thing in my case is that I have two players, one supporting DSD (so I checked the box in DSDPlay) and the second one not supporting DSD (so box unchecked) The two values being different brings an unfortunate behavior: if I want DSD tracks to be decoded on both players, both players need to have the "Enable DSD-over-PCM" _unchecked__and I will hear PCM everywhere. If I leave the box checked for the first player and unchecked for the second, the first player will read the DSD track fine but the second will only issue silence (even with no synchronization: each player getting a different DSD track) Is that a known behaviour? Hello, I have a question regarding the media library scanner. It's been updated to 0.95 to scan DSF files, but the version Pinkdot packaged for Synology still has 0.93 this doesn't scan DSF files. what component exactly would need to be updated to benefit from the 0.95 scanner? Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] LMS 7.9 and DSD
Hello, I am trying to get the DSF files to play on the touch via DSDplayer. I have LMS 7.9 on synology and it works fine with an SOtM sMS-100, just not on the touch For the touch, I do get the menu on LMS server to convert to PCM, but even when using lowest quality I don't get any output via analog outs. I see an error message on the touch's screen complaining about opening the file... It plays flac files from same location fine so I suppose there's no access rights problems ;o) Can that work or is it meant only to stream the data to an external dac (via USB digital out plugin)?
