Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] LMS 7.9 and DSD
So, as far as I can see, the Mytek fixes are not in until 4.15.5, if I want to avoid patching the kernel. Is that right? totoroBounced's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65904 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101641 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] LMS 7.9 and DSD
So it seems that the quirks.c file has been updated a couple of times, the latest June of 2018. The first time they added several mytek devices, but then made it more generic. So... wonder when I'll see this in my Ubuntu? I'm at 16 LTS, maybe I should upgrade? Well, I got past all the build issues, even made my own Makefile with the -DDSD option. I set -D 100:u8 (or something) and no dice. :( On my mytek brooklyn I have gone through all 5 formats and none of them work except DoP totoroBounced's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65904 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101641 ___ beta mailing list beta@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta

Hi, so I grabbed: Squeezelite v1.9.0-1105 But the log file still says DoP is being used. Right now I am using the OS distro and it is only up to 1.8.2 Let me see how easily I can build the latest. Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] LMS 7.9 and DSD
Hi, I'm very sorry, this is a very long thread and I don't know where to look. I'm very happy with an older version of Squeezelite, but DSD is only via DoP, which is limited in bandwidth. I'm wondering if Squeezelite now supports DSD natively, and if so at what version this started? Re: [SlimDevices: Beta] LMS 7.9 and DSD
Hi Everyone, I have a problem and I'm not sure where it is. :) I am running the Xubuntu 16.04 LTS repo Squeezelite hooked up to a Mytek Brooklyn. It usually works pretty well, although I occasionally have to restart Squeezelite since I sometimes use the PC for TV/Netflix, etc. and want to use the Brooklyn to listen. Anyway, normal DSD files (2.8 MHz) play as expected. I recently was gifted (by the licence owner!) a quad rate album. 11 Mhz DSD. Squeezelite says the DAC can't accept it and converts to 384k PCM. There's not much to report in the log file except that it says the DAC reports it won't support the bit rate: [16:46:56.311900] dsd_decode:527 setting track_start [16:46:56.311900] dsd_decode:533 DOP sample rate too high for device - converting to PCM [16:46:56.311906] dsd_decode:543 DSD to PCM output I tried updating the log settings to DEBUG but didn't get any more information. My config file is pretty basic, no hard coded sample rates. Normally there is no conversion. It plays what i send it. Is this by any chance a known SL issue, or do you think I need to follow up with Mytek?? Thanks for any advice!
