[Bf-committers] PowerDNS outage affecting blender.org servers
Hi, By now some of you may have noticed problems accessing Blender servers which have been timing out on DNS lookups the last few hours. You can thank Sergey Sharybin for sounding the alarm on DNS lookup problems, which upon closer examination appears to be related to our DNS provider, PowerDNS: https://twitter.com/powerdns/status/440369721146220544 Since the TTL (time-to-live, or how long DNS is cached) on our records is very low (around 5 or 6 minutes, iirc), you may experience longer than usual delays, and/or errors while trying to access anything blender.orgrelated until the problem is fixed. Hello everybody, I can't upload the file on GraphicAll, because it appears the following message: Build update failed due to a server error! How could I solve this problem? It often fails to complete the upload, it may depend on the browser you use (it used to work for IE, and fail a lot with Chrome/Firefox). It should work with Firefox, as long as it's a new build, or if you update an existing one, either change the info OR the build. When I changed the info and uploaded a new build in one step, it failed. But it worked doing it in two steps, not sure if it reported an error, but it definately worked.
