[Bf-committers] Postpone Bcon5
Hi, There are a few showstopper issues that need some extra attentions. There is a new track on the workboard for 2.81 called Show Stoppers [1]. We'll recheck the status of the tracker on Monday 18th during the Developer Meeting in #blender-coders on blender.chat . This means that Bcon4 will extend to at least the Monday. Best regards, /Nathan ___ Bf-committers mailing list Bf-committers@blender.org https://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers
Re: [Bf-committers] Screenshots for release log 2.81
Hi I would say so! At least for the wiki logs they should be more than fine. It is probably up to Pablo Vazquez what he takes up to the website release logs, but definitely OK for the wiki logs. Hello, I added a screenshot to "User Interface: Outliner". Most of the new features there would be best shown with a video or GIF though. I have many videos and GIFs that I captured throughout the GSoC, would these be appropriate for the release notes? In any case I think we should postpone release to at least next week. We can determine during the dev meeting on Monday whether we're good to go or not. That way there won't be any rushed solutions before tomorrow, original planned release date. /Nathan ___ Bf-committers mailing list Bf-committers@blender.org https://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers

Hi, > Maybe make a separate column for showstopper bugs on the 2.81 workboard? Good call, done - "bcon4: Show Stoppers" Next step is to assess for the existing bugs there how doable it is to fix them this week, if we have someone to work on them, or if there is something we can and should revert (as it was suggested to the sculpting performance bug, allegedly introduced during a sculpting undo fix). Hi, Images like these are very helpful and can also be used in the manual also. Or comment in the task to explain the status? So far I've treated tagging a bug with 2.81 as indicating it's a showstopper. But looking at the workboard now, it's unclear. ___ Bf-committers mailing list Bf-committers@blender.org https://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers
