We have also discussed various problems faced by Pune chapter as well as the City and we decided to conentrate on the problems and issues concerning Hadapsar and the areas around it.The following areas where actions must be taken up were identified: 1) The pathetic condition of roads in Hadapsar. We have decided to file an RTI on the Pune-Saswad Road which is in shambles with crater sized pot holes just after 2 months of repair works. We have also decided to file an RTI on any funds released for the developement of Hadapsar Gadi tal which lacks proper shelters for commuters and proper bus stops. 2)Visit the slum area on the Pune Saswad road to learn about their conditionand problems.3)Visit the institute for Handicapped children near our office in Hadapsar.4)Getting in touch with PMC regarding the unclean premises of dustbins. Furhter action is required on this issue.5)Start working on Propagation in Hadapsar. We decided to go to new villages and continue with Kolwade in this trip. We planned to meet at Vihang's place. It was heavily raining. We divided in two teams. 1. Puneet, Pradnya, Milind*, Nitin*, Rishikesh (* first timer ever in any meeting/activity) 2. Vihang, Rohan, Praful, Ashwin I am putting update of first team. Second team's update will come from one of the team members. First we went Gadewadi and went into some house. There we met some men. Asked questions like upto what std school is there in that village, what is prime crop, population and things like that. School was upto primary level and teacher come from Pune. We got perception that there is no urgent need for villagers. They grow 1-2 crops every year and for rest of the time. Important thing which we got there was that person there was ready to give some land for experimentation in agricultural sector. His name is Mr. Balasaheb Gade and can be contacted at 020 69520340 . Please take a note of this thing. Then we went to Mukai. We were treated like strangers. Anyway, but after some conversation we realized that in summer there is problem of clean drinking water. It would need time to get engaged in Mukai. Otherwise here as well there was no high school so we couldn't think about working with schools for career guidance. Then we went to Urawade. Here school was closed and it was raining very heavily. So couldn't find some people with whom we could have some significant talks. Here high school is there. In future in while going to Kolwade, we will visit again. Then we went to Kolwade. Puneet has put points below. we need financial support to give books and sports literature to Kolwade village school. Please give all bats/balls/discs/volleyball/any other sport related thing/money to support the village. Even used literature is ok. Something is better than nothing. The head master there, hinge sir has almost single handed brought this school to reality. There was no govt aid , no students who can pay fee, still he managed the school and his consistent efforts has led to 7 classrom building and govt aid in near future. We must not only help school bu the this teacher as well. He has done what is called serving last men of society. Please contribute/participate as much as you can. No activity can take shape on ground by talking on internet or just reading mails and joining e-groups. Please get in touch with Punit for anything you want to do in village. Thanks and Regards,Rishikesh-- ABHIJEET RAJWADE094225066002.BM Pilani Chapter Activities Hi,On account of the clarified mail regarding the social activities of BM and the consent that we would like to become a

At this AHM we came across lot of things about us like where we are facing problems, where we lack in and what are our ideas to take BM_Pune forward. Till now we are not clear about our exact goals and objectives. I mean we don't have single answer for this. At this meeting we got the answer. The AHM was conducted at the MIT-SOG premises. For availing this place, we cordially thank Shri. Vishnu Swaminathan, Student, MIT-SOG. It started around 9.15 am. with the National Anthem, followed by a brief introductory speech by Vihang which was followed by Hrishikesh's brief introduction about BM_Pune for the new members. [bm] Chapter Activities [Mumbai]
CHAPTER ACTIVITIES 1. BM_MUMBAI: Minutes of drive and meeting Hello Everyone, The juhu beach cleanliness drive saw the largest turn out of BM Mumbai members so far for an activity. In all we were 13 volutneers who were present for the drive. We began by cleaning a small stretch of the beach. which eventually turned out to be quite large. Initially when we all were cleaning we got curious looks by onlookers and passer by's alike. Some appreciated our work some were plain indifferent. We managed to get some ppl to help us with the efforts in cleaning the beach. After the drive we all gathered and decided on a few things (not exhaustive) 1. We needed to engage in activites where we could sustain them. 2. Based on above we have decided to continue our efforts in cleaning juhu beach. 3. To get local residential associations and colleges involved in the activites. 4. To find out about lack of dustbins on the beach. Other issues discussed were about 1. Holding series of RTI lectures 2. Planting 200 trees in memory of the blast victims (details of which are being worked out by mr jalan, akalpitaji and abhijit) We expect a bigger turnout next time. Place being the same, the day will be decided by concensus on the group. regards pooja -- Thanks and Regards, Saurabh Bharat Co-ordinator Information Management Team (Bharat Uday Mission) 09826959161 We have only one Passion The Rise of a Great Nation. www.bharatudaymission.org Yahoo! [bm] Chapter Activities [M.P. State level meet, BM Hyderabad- August 15 Event, Chandigarh ]
Chapter Activities: 1. M.P State level Meeting: formal announcement 2. BM Hyderabad- August 15 Event- FREEDOM under construction 3. Chandigarh Chapter: Meeting Minutes 1. M.P State level Meeting: formal announcement This is to inform all the members of the Bharat Uday Mission and specially the members of Madhya Pradesh that the Bhopal chapter of the Bharat Uday Mission is hosting a state level meeting. The venue and dates of will be notified within 2-3 days. Right now we are giving a rough outline of how we are going to discuss the different issues and agendas. We will wait for 3 days during which we request each member in MP to give their valuable suggestions and important issues on which we must concentrate. After that we will post the final draft along with the date. Regarding registration fees, we are planning to keep it 250 or 300 per member, as we think that members coming from different chapters might not be able to afford more than that. But this would be the least expected amount because we all have to contribute EQUALLY to make it a successful event. We are not keeping any limit as to how many members should come, it is open for all those who are members or non-members and are truly and sincerely interested to serve their nation but they are expected to contribute the required amount and must confirm of their arrival beforehand, so that adequate arrangements can be made for the same. The meeting would go as follows: 1ST DAY 1). INTRODUCTION: This would be an introduction session amongst all the present members. 2). PRESENTATION BY CHAPTERS: Each chapter must choose two people to make a presentation on (a) What all work they have done so far (b) What all difficulties and hindrances they had to face while doing such works (c) What all issues are there on their cards for future (d) How they are going to carry out their propogation work Note: It can be either a powerpoint presentation or a paper presentation. 3). CONCLUDING PRESENTATION BY THE HOST CHAPTER After the presentations in the post lunch session there will be a collective discussion over the issues which the different chapters would project as their concluding and basic issues for concentration. 2ND DAY: The day would go as follows: 1). IDEOLOGICAL INTERPRETATION: In this the members would present their own thoughts, opinions and ideologies as to how they look at our organisation. Through this we would be able to understand the mindset of our own people, our own team with which we are going to work out our different future policies. This is important because before inspiring and influencing the common mass we must understand our own selves as to what we all think and what are our own perpectives. 2). ALLOCATION OF WORK: It is important to contribute individually but if we make a common roadmap for all the chapters of MP on which each chapter would work then it will be more effctive. Because if many missiles move together in the same direction with equal force it would definately give a blasting effect than all of them moving in different directions individually. So we will decide a common working strategy of our state which will be in parlance with BM ideals. Note: This is to inform the members that this is only a rough outline of how we are going to conduct the meeting, we will eagerly and whole heartedly wait for your suggestions for next 3 days. Kindly respond soon If any more information or any query is required by any member he or she may contact the undersigned: Siddharth Singh Moderator BM Bhopal Chapter Phone: +919425362899 2.BM Hyderabad- August 15 Event- FREEDOM under construction Dear Members, Given below are the details of the plan on August 15th, Tuesday. We invite all members of Bharat Uday Mission to come down to Hyderabad and participate in this event. We also invite monetary contributions for the Construction of the Wall. Background In May 2006, Bm Hyderabad adopted Rasoolpura Slum, which is in the heart of the city. Rasoolpura Slum has an approxinte population of 30,000 households. Zilla Parishad High School is the biggest government school in the Rasoolpura Slum. Unfortunately, the existing infrastructure at the school is inadequate and does not even cater to the existing number of students (700), leave aside the new enrollments. In spite of the original land allocated to the school being 6000 sq yards, encroachments and illegal land grabbers have reduced it to a mere 2000 sq yards. Over the years it has been turned into a dumping ground for garbage. This land is being used as a public toilet. Many miscreants loiter around on this land indulging in anti-social activities like drinking, gambling. The school infrastructure is often vandalized, hence it is not possible to add new toilets. We believe there is an urgent necessity for a compound wall to protect the school premises. Objective We plan to construct a Boundary Wall (compound wall) around Rasulpura School ground

Activities : BM MUMBAI Report of Maan Trip 9,10,11 April 2006 Day 1 (9th April 2006) Aurko, Varun, Abhijit, Iliyaz, Aarti, Raju and myself we met at borivali station and went to Maan school. We took snacks along with us for the children. The snacks were donated courtesy, Mrs Davawala, Mrs. Khattar, Mrs. Jumani, Mrs Bhatia and families. As soon as we reached there the teachers had already grouped the children from different schools (Talwada, Masvand and )into 8 groups. Our co member mr Prasad was already present. There were a total of 364 students from 4 different schools. They had arrived earlier in the morning at Maan ashram from their respective locations. Each one of us took up a group and we were talking to them and interacting with the children. Iliyaz was talking to children about a career as a doctor, myself and others were talking about careers as engineers. Besides providing this information we were generally playing games and interacting with the children. Post lunch we combined classes and took a small games session with the children. Except for Raju and myself the other members left in the evening. After dinner the children gathered for evening prayers and were shown some movies and programs. Day 2 (10th April 2006) After breakfast the children were separated into groups according to what they wanted to learn. Some children from schools other than Maan, learnt Warli paintings under the art teacher for the school. The remaining children were taught to create envelopes for the cards. Following lunch the children were shown Tom and Jerry on Aarti's Laptop. They enjoyed watching it. Children from non Maan schools were giving basic education about computers. A teacher from one of the schools being very fluent in marathi helped us with the task. Raju left on the same evening. After dinner there was a cultural festival where the children performed short skits based on social issues of dropping out of school and violence due to drinking. There were a lot of dances prepared by the children which was fun watching since they had put in lots of efforts in terms of dressing up, preparations and all. The children were shown video clips taken earlier on the laptop after all the dance and song routine. The evening prayers were held. Day 3 (11th April 2006) The children woke early in the morning to learn a few breathing exercises and asanas. The were taught by me with the help of all the teachers present. After breakfast the children sat down to complete all the cards and envelopes. Following this they were taught letter writing in English and were asked to exchange addresses with the new friends they had made during the past 2 days. Post lunch the photographs of all children were taken individually and a cd with all the photos will be provided to all the schools from our side. Following this the children from other schools left in the vehicles they had booked. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved and the teachers and principals were thanking Bharat Uday Mission profusely for giving them such an opportunity. They wanted to conduct such an event since quiet some time but due to resource crunch they could not. Since we facilitated with the resources it was possible for them to have this camp. On a personal note I would like to thank everyone involved and each and every member of BM for fully supporting the camp. Financial details of income and expenses incurred by Bm Mumbai so far (including Maan trip)will be sent soon. Mr. Somendra 2. Mr. Amardeep 3. Mr. Alok 4. Mr. Susheel 5. Mr Abhirukh 6. Mr Vikash Its the very first meeting of BM_Ahmedabad chapter . So first introduction given by all present members. And there was a good discussion about the BM_mission organisation its structure . In this discussion we have critically examinedvarious issues which is very pertaining and vital for an organisation must addressed for a strong grounding. And we also discussed that what should be the way that we strategically adopt for achieving our objectives. Discussion Summery first Questation that we discussed - Institutionalisation (formal) of BM mission. Conclusion- Registration as a political party is important. it has two reasons first there is legal structure thus we can reduce operational hurdles like opening bank accounts etc. Second it also reduce the doubts of people who joined it . unless we got registered it it is hard to convince them that organisation is for long run . But who would be responsible for this task to making organisational structure and giving a strong grounding .For addressing this issue of formalising as a party, need Some dedicated people who responsible for this work as full time . and from this time we should have a implementation plan for organisation structure. second discussion is based about organisation Goal and more importantly what should be the way of working of BM_ mission. ...? - what would be the ultimate goal of this party...bring a total reform in our society like eradicating poverty and education etc . or win the election and power . but what is indicated from BM_mission`s perceived approach is that we come to power by using social work as its means. and overall by adopting this approach we bring a total reform in society . but its a great challenge as political point of view that we combind social and political things to gather . because there is different approach to deal with social and political sector .so if want to achieve social goals ..we should do it separately and for political , it needed a entirely different approach from social sector. suggestions there is a common consensus among all the members that we should have a separate body for political and social wing and there should be code of ethics , so we can com bind the social and political effort for our ultimate goals . how can we do it-- all the dedicated members of this mission should sit to gather and finalise the structure .we should work for four different wings i.e. political , social , intellectual and financial wing and have a common code to link up with all the wings for achieving the ultimate goal. In this respect all members perceive that there should be a clear cut strategy for this organisation. And also want to be a comprehensive discussion about these matter. Appeal to moderator and all the members all the present members want a clear- cut strategy for that. so i request to moderator and all partners of BM _mission to have a discussion about this and try to find a clear cut strategy . with warm regards , vikash kumar, === From: *Rakesh Ranjan* [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Chapter Activity(BM_Indore) Second Meeting Minutes::members who were present1.Samay Kasliwal2.JagMohan Kabra3.ShashiKant Srivastava4.Sourav Sharma5. After the children wrote the questions they were asked to formulate their strategies and the answers were verified by the children of the group themselves. different questions were eliminated assuming they would be simple to answer once the quizzing actually started the energy levels in the children reached unimagined heights where the brain racking was happening and they were doing their best to answer the questions. their initial reaction was hesitation assuming that their answers would be incorrect which was soon lost as they realised by our constant repeating that if was ok if they made mistakes but it was more important to answer. And as pranali's group (shivaji) was getting its answers correct more often than the groups of abhijit (dhoni), aarti (prithvi) and mine (pushpanjali) the crescendo just increased with all the other children from the lower standards coming and starting to peep in just to have a look at wat was going on. the children had a lot of fun and they realised that they had a lot to learn. the questions asked were from their text book knowledge as well general affairs. we hope that we get more enthusiastic response from the members as we got from the children we also discussed about having a 2 or 3 day workshop for the 7th std children and introducing them to various possibilities in terms of careers availlable to them if they work and study hard and continue their education.
