[Ontbirds] Eurasian Wigeon - Long Point

Eurasian Wigeon is showing well at Lee Brown, WMA, Long Point. Lighting is 
horrible between about 1000 and 1500.

[Ontbirds] Eurasian Wigeon - Long Point

For those visiting Long Point, 'our' returning male Eurasian Wigeon has 
resurfaced on the East 1/4 Line Rd. at Big Creek at - 42.729851,-80.519308. 
There has been a male here every spring for 5 of the last 6 years (no sightings 
in 2014).

[Ontbirds] Eurasian Wigeon Long Point

There is a male Eurasian Wigeon on Long Point Inner Bay, straight out from
the overlook just east of Port Rowan. Take Wolven st. east from Port Rowan.

There are thousands of ducks including hundreds of wigeon here. A scope and
a lot of patience is absolutely mandatory.

Also here are several adult Little Gulls. Earlier at the inner bay viewing
tower on Long Point near Sandboy Marina we had a Ring-necked Duck x Redhead
hybrid (just before a boat flushed all the birds) and heard a Greater
Yellowlegs.

[Ontbirds] Eurasian Wigeon - Long Point Area

I just found a Eurasian Wigeon in a flooded field along Big Creek, east of the 
town of Langton. The road is the East Quarterline Rd and has had a Eurasian 
Wigeon in recent years.
The ducks were all in tight flock but were starting to disperse across the 
field. A scope is recommended. 
Directions: From highway 59 head east on 45 and then take a left on E 
Quarterline. Cross Big Creek and the birds are on the west side of the

[Ontbirds] Eurasian Wigeon - Long Point Area

Ontbirders, 

A male Eurasian Wigeon reported yesterday at Lee Brown's, was once again seen 
in the same location today at 2:30 pm. The bird is clearly visible from the 
parking lot/viewing area and has been hanging around with a small group of 
American Wigeon.

Directions to Lee Brown's: 

Traveling South on HWY 59, turn right onto Lakeshore Rd. (Region Rd. 42) at the 
intersection before the Causeway with the Esso Station on the corner. Continue 
West on Regional Rd. past Port Royal, and look to the left (South) side of the 
road for a small enclosed pond with a viewing stand.
