My blackbox site, again
I took your suggestions and have finally got around to updating my site about blackbox accordingly. If you have a couple of minutes you can see it at http://xlife.zuavra.net/blackbox/ . Any comments would be appreciated. Ciprian Popovici

Ciprian Popovici comments: on desktop icons, neither GNOME nor KDE's file manager based desktop icons will work due to the way they are implemented. This will change when netwm support is added. blackbox forks (by age): fluxbox waimea lain os hackedbox openbox For those of you looking for the appeal of blackbox but the power (and price) of E look at waimea. It has translucent titlebars, pixmaps, user defined actions, etc.

I will have to change the what is fluxbox section. Each has its own reason for being. Of all of them flux is probably the one most people will play with. waimea has promise as the next E, but like E will take a few more releases before it really gets solid.
Re: My blackbox site, again
So how many people want blackbox associated with a site that has apparently hundreds of pictures of dismembered bodies, suicides, murder victims, and traffic accidents? Everybody's got a right to their own weirdness, but that is f*cking sick, and could make blackbox look bad. just my 2 cents. --Brig Young --- Scott Furt [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: When i was working on my site, i threw up some info and shots and themes (more to come) on my site also: http://furt.com/blackbox/ How about getting a list of all user-run blackbox sites on the official BB page... :) Ciprian Popovici wrote: I took your suggestions and have finally got around to updating my site about blackbox accordingly. Definitely didn't have the guts to click the do you really want to go in link; probably not the best thing for blackbox to be related to *grin* Maybe there needs to be a new fork with detachable window titles or something for this guy ;-) Cheers, Grahame

Scott, it is your site. If anything some would feel better if the link to the flesh page was removed from the blackbox section. I won't ask that.
Re: My blackbox site, again
Ok, I'll give, he does block it fairly well. Maybe he could make the link a little clearer, or break BB off his main menu. My 13 yo daughter uses BB, she's dumb enough to click through and I don't want to deal with the nightmares. Tally Ho Scott, I believe in free countries, --Brig Young ARGH!!! Thanks for understanding *why* the flesh page is there, so many people don't get it. freedom is the cornerstone of most of my values. :) ...But i can see the reason why some would want the link removed from the top of the links bar on my site... that's no prob. for me to remove, but it will still be in the drop-down menu, since that's global to the whole site. But like Sean noticed, the page has a disclaimer and i do not mis-lead anyone about the content. That said, i LOVE blackbox. keep up the good work, i look forward to posting even more screenshots and themes as i get time in the next few days/weeks.
