 Hello,

 I am a little confused here as it has LVM2-2.02.114 listed as required,
 and yet when I went to build it after the configure phase it listed llvm

( llvm != lvm/lvm2 )

 support as no. I had to actually add --enable-lvm2 to have it build with
 it.

 I would have thought that you would not have to explicitly enable
 something if it was required to build.

 To this end, should the page be modified to have it as recommended or even
 optional?

 Regards,

 Christopher.

It requires device mapper, which is part of LVM2.

[blfs-dev] xfce4-power-manager-1.4.2

2014-12-21 Thread Christopher Gregory
Hello,

In the short descriptions on the xfce4-power-manager page I noticed that
it has:

xfce4-pm-helper is a helper program for the suspend and hibernate
functions of xfce4-power-manager.

When I updated for systemd branch I searched for what it actually was and
came accross the developers notes from their announcement list that is for
a development release, and the one in which they actually added it, that
says that it is for systems running upower-0.99.0 and above.

Just thought you may wish to check it out:

https://mail.xfce.org/pipermail/xfce-announce/2014-June/000326.html

Regards,

Christopher.

 I think that was a typo.

(yes, on balance, same here; but a reasonable zeroeth-step clarification,
in case it wasn't, and before heading any further.)

 My log also has:

 LVM2 support:   no

 Any *technical* reason why you didn't use the sed I provided?

Yes: I didn't see it. Actually, after you reported, I decided to search
for the problem and after finding, I forgot to got to that github
address, thinking it was the same thing.

Then, when deciding if making one patch from the two problems, noticed
that your gc patch could be replaced by an sed.

 +autoreconf -vi amp;amp;

 -./configure --prefix=/usr  amp;amp;
 +sed -e '/unsigned GC_version/d' \
 +-e '/int main(void)/ a\\t\t\tunsigned GC_version = GC_get_version();' \
 +-i configure amp;amp;

 Try a simpler one:

 sed -ri s:.*(unsigned GC_version).*:\1 = GC_get_version()\;: configure

No problem, will replace it tomorrow. I planned to download libreoffice
to run overnight, but even this is delayed.

Thanks, again.
